TexasQuest
Sometimes when my turn signals are on with the headlight/heater/radio on my turn signals stop flashing and stay on. Is this a flasher problem or something else?
JAinsworth
It can be a ground issue, corroded bulb holder, or the blinker relay. Try switching out the blinker relay with an EL-12. Jimmy
Goddard
My car does the same thing. I think it was a poor wiring design from what I've read here. My car puts out a solid 14v when running so the alt. is working fine. Our cars probably needed a bit more alternator amperage from the factory since there's a lot of electrical components. Maybe the blinker relay under the dash is just getting old and worn too. Edited March 13, 2009 by Goddard
TexasQuest
Yeah I was thinking that it was getting old. I'll try that relay JAinsworth, thanks! By the way where is it located?
JAinsworth
On the driver's side. Lay on the floor and look up and towards the fender. You'll see a round one, that is for the hazards/flashers only, the squarish one is the one you need to replace. Jimmy
