New to the forum, Recently bought this '88 to fix up. Haven't done much to it yet. Is there a way to test a steering box that is out of the car? I have a couple that I believe are good (I was told they were good when I got them). If there's a good way to check them out I would like to do so before offering them?

Anyone have these things or know where I can get something to replace them with?   They hold the plastic trim at the bottom of the door in place   http://i.imgur.com/EW0szL9.png
