Cuts out around 2k RPM
By dmyers151,
After multiple futile attempts by his local mechanic, a fellow member brought me his car to see if I could straighten it out. It's a SQ drivetrain swapped '88 Might Max, with an '89 harness, knock box & ECU, and a 1g DSM MAS. It has brand new injectors from Lower Shores Performance, probably a couple weeks old. The turbo is pretty worn out, probably has 1/8" of up & down shaft play. The truck starts up and idles fine, little hard at start up but the battery is a bit weak. If you start
Starion Oil Pumps....Decipher This Photo
By jonboyb,
I'm in the process of a turbo longblock swap in my Raider and planning the oil pan/pickup changeover right now. Conquest Assault - Strang3's 87 Quest
By strang3majik,
The title will make sense later But...I recently got hold of an 87 TSI, white with red guts, and, I'll be honest, the cars a piece, but, I have a plan for it and it'll be a fun street/track car. It currently has a built motor but has a rod knock, so, I'll be pulling it soon and having the crank and rods checked. I started it and it ran for a few seconds and has great oil pressure (a little over half on the gauge), and coolant is green and the oil is clean, so...a guess its a good start.
