    Steering Gearbox warning

    TylerQuest
    By TylerQuest,
If you try to order a new steering gear from RockAuto, or most any of the other suppliers I have found, they use a reman from A1 Cardone with part number 27-8450. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! This part number WILL NOT work for StarQuests. The main shaft (splined part that connects to the steering column) is too short to connect. Rockauto called Cardone, and they verified that the original Mitsu part numbers all referenced their 27-8450 part, and the main shaft spec on that part is 1 1/16i
