87 and 88/89 Tranny Differences

The 88-89 Trannies are in fact superior to the 87 and earlier model trannies. The 88-89 trannies are equipped with "beefier" internals, such as the synchros and gears. So those of you with 87 and earlier cars who are expecting to push big, big power it would be wise to go with an 88-89 Tranny. You can tell the difference by looking at the pan on the bottom of the tranny. Here is a pic of the underside of an 87:

What can be removed on these cars and what does each piece weigh? Lets see how large and how complete we can make a list.

I have yet to install these ST springs...any advice for the install? bumpstops? camber settings/alignmet tips? etc??
