I was driving my 87 conquest on Saturday an all of a sudden it started to act like it was out of gas then just shut off an will not restart. I had a mech friend check the injectors and he said they are not getting a signal to them. Anybody know what would cause that?

I'm looking for the little box in the hatch that is for the speed control cruise control. The one i need plugs in from the side and needs to have the blue label. Its for my 87 but its a pre june built car so ones for the 87 88 89 dont function. Need the blue label one thats for an 86.   Thanks Charlie
