This isn't some ninny arguement about what type of oil I should run, I bought the car it had 5w30 put in and I'm switching it out to 10w30/40.   That being said - any recommendations on oil brands? E.g. Rotella, Motul, Amsoil, Valvoline, generic Autozone brand?

My brother has bought a 1/86 tsi in all black. the car needed alot of work and the front lower valace/bumper was destroyed from bottoming the car out because is hella low. I would like to get him a new one but 500 dollars from mitsu is insane! i cant seem to find anything other than oem stuff who knows spill the beans please!
