Just picked up a 4g64 wideblock core. (can't wait to ditch the g54b, but it won't happen anytime soon)   So how to a store the block in a safe and rust free fashion? Do I remove the crankshaft? (pistons are out) Cover it in motor oil and put it into a garbage bag?

Jafromobile is awesome on youtube.   never would have thought of this maybe un-necessary but seems like a good idea.   comments ? thoughts?

I have a virtually brand new FIC 650cc (primary), and an OEM green 87-89 secondary in good, bench tested and bench cleaned condition. I also have a good set of 87-89 trilogy's in stock (650/950) flows, but have one person already interested in them.
