    Hoping Shelby and/or some of the older guys chime in on this...I've just changed the rockers and pushrods on my 97 Ranger, 4.0. Seems the common problem stems from solid pushrods, hence, no oil feeding the socket where they meet the rockers, so they begin to wear into each other and start rattling. The Ranger and Explorer forums are riddled with posts about this, and the fix is to replace them, which I did yesterday. This fixed 95% of the rattle I'd been hearing, but I've still got just a tiny b

    question about Cam timing on g54b

    Question for you guys more familiar with the g54b. Ever since I rebuilt my motor it seems that power falls off around 4500-5000 rpm. Rebuild was years ago only put about 2k on the motor with stock turbo, I guess I assumed the little 12a just ran out of steam.   Since then life and other projects got in the way and the quest has sat for a few years. Since last running it I have upgraded the turbo to a 16g off of an evo 8. been sorting the car and have recently started turning boost up. Running 1

    Pretty decent shape. Drivers seat has a small hole about the size of a dime in the bolster, and a rip along one the seams in the seat, maybe 3-4 inches.
