I have a slight dent in the bottom/center of the tank in which I believe contacted this tube and cracked the weld. I ran across this article today about a federal mandated new vehicle tracking system which may take effect in Jan 2014. 87 Conquest TSI. engine has run great for the last 4 years then all of a sudden it would cut off like ign shutoff and then come back on then off again. engine would never die and return to idle. replace injector clip and did not help. engine runs strong when its not acting up. When its acting up I unplug the MAF sensor and all is good as for as no more cutting out. so my ?I had a 1st gen eclipse turbo MAF sensor when this problem started, installed my OEM mass that originally came with the car
