Power Steering High Pressure Hose Replacement
By Starfighterpilot,
About a year ago the PS HP hose line swage fitting at the fitting coming off of the PS pump decided to give up the ghost. Steady slow weepage, even when the engine wasn't running. No, the metal fitting flare is not split. So I removed the pump drive belt, drained the HP line and reattached the line back on the pump. No problems steering the Old Broad, except when pulling out of tight parking spaces. Steering coupler has no slack in it, even after about 45K miles of running without the PS pump
