Ok i have decided that I want to keep the Starion but only if i can swap to the Magna MPI. I plan to have the engine rebuilt (correctly this time) and for now i want to keep the 14G that i have ( I know that a 16G would be better). But heres my real big question. I live in Cali and need to have the car smog'd every 2 years. What are the chances of getting the car smog'd somewhat legally. NOT using another car to pass it. Clearly the swap isnt CARB exempt. Exhaust Gasket Materials

Lets here your guys opinions on the exhaust gasket materials. I noticed the GP for copper exhaust gaskets and this sparked my interest.
Ok everyone seems to rave about the original MLS stainless exhaust gasket as put on by Mitsubishi. I personally never liked this gasket! SST takes a larger amount of preload to seal properly. Remember we have aluminum heads, personally I feel that this is one of the reasons why we are getting stripped threads and even snapped studs (along with the str
cheap hood release cable and pillar pods

The other day the hood release cable broke on my girlfriend's Conquest. After following some advice i found of this great site i got the hood open. Around here i could not find a factory replacement hood cable so i went to my local Autozone and got a Motormite universal hood release cable. It runs about 15 bucks here. It's a pretty compleate kit. But to use it it needs to be modified. One end of the cable has a eyelet end and the other has a long squared looking log. Cut the squared log off
