    Lifter Pre-Load Unveiled...Please Review

    Well all, I figure it is now time to let everyone know what I've been doing to get the lifters preloaded enough to run the reduced base circle roller cams. I did the obvious. I have precurved, stainless steel washers inside the rockers, above the lifter. They oil fine, and so far the only issue was, I tried a washer that was a little too small in diameter first. It moved around on the top of the lifter, but did no damage. Now I have a larger dia washer in there, so it will not move around as e

    Headlight Conversion like NSX, possible?

    The NSX has a nice low profile flip up light. Is their a way to modify lour linkage so that it only goes up about 3 inches, then install a slimmer light almost like our fog lights?     GM Delco "808" ECM

    Anybody wanna try this route?   On U.S. GM cars made between 1986-1989 their ecms are programable using the kalmaker software and a lap top. The "808" #s are the last digits on the part number found on the ecm.   The ecms are cheap,  the eproms are removable and programable. Look for them in turboed 88 sunbirds and quad 4 equiped cars,  olds mobile calais, Beretta GTZ. Harnesses are cheap and/or you can get them at junk yards.   DFI conversions may be a problem but the ECMs have an inpu

    When I install my stand alone, do I have to keep the factory ECU??  And do all the factory gauges still work?  Like the boost gauge and tachometer, will they still work?
