First step in preparing for paint work?
By Conquestdetaco,
Can someone tell me what the first step(s) is in preparing my 89 for paint work? I know you have to primer it but I was wondering what grit sand paper to use, materials, tools etc... Furthermore, how will I know if a particular section is ready for paint? I have never done this so any insight would go a long way. I am going to do this by hand in my garage...my goal is to prepare it completely, if possible, for paint work. Thanks

MBC
By Bob1770,
Is there a difference performance wise between a bleed off type and a ball and spring type MBC? I have built a bleed off type from an air metering valve, it spiked really bad until I drilled a hole in the housing, now it wokrs perfect. I read that the ball and spring type is better. Does anyone have experience with both?
