  1. Now that I have swapped the 86 harness in the flatty I noticed that one of the plugs on the 86 harness wont plug into the 85's harness that runs under the dash. I am assuming its the dash plug and was wondering whats my best option of getting over this obstacle. Should I rip that harness off of my 86? or do I need to do some wiring to make it work (swap out connectors)
  2. Nevermind, Got the harness out after about 3 hours of going nuts....Wow that blower motor was a PITA!!!
  3. so the whole harness has go go with it? becaus I cant seem to get it out. any tips/trics or pictures on how to get it out
  4. Im planning on doing a 2jz swap in my 86 widebody, So I have decided to take the complete running gear out of the 86 and drop it in my 85 flatty. Ill be using the engine, trans and all the lil things out of the 86 like the injectors and intercooler. Now my question is can I use the 85 harness to run the 86 powerplant. Or do I need to swap the wiring harness and ecu in as well?
  5. So you dont have to remove the head to get the timing cover off?
  6. wow, now that looks like fun to replace? looks like the engine is comming out next weekend. whats the best way to replace that gasket?
  7. do you have more pictures of that coolant port indiana, id like to see some more pics before I start ripping my g54 apart
  8. saw a valencia gold 87 on wensday around broadway and 24th street, I stopped you and talked to you, just want to associate a screen name to a face and saw a bright blue (not fiji) with a mismatched header panel and airdam driving south down 27th ave and indian school road.
  9. Bringing this back from the dead. Well replaced the intake mani gasket and tbi gasket again. Applied a film on em and threw em on. And I am STILL getting the water in the head. Did a leak test on the cooling system and I found a leak on my radiator. Nothing on the head or cooling system. I went a lil farther in and removed the spark plugs to see if the cyl walls are getting any water. And they're not. Dry as the Arizona desert! Not a single sign of water or moisture in there. Thinking of doing a leak down test on the block just in case. Gonna check out the water pump and timing cover tomorrow.. Any more ideas or ways of diagnosing this problem. This is driving me up a wall!
  10. Check out chacerareo for body parts, they always have deals on zilvia, I got my bn blister knockoff kit for 700 shipped for my vert last year
  11. Need T3/T4 exhaust manafold with a 38mm waste gate port. Let me know what you guys have
  12. Try the MAF and try changing the vacuum lines that run behind the head by the firewall. One of those lines was bad on my 240 and it had the same symptoms
  13. Yea I did. This is on the third batch of new oil and a new filter
  14. 100 percent shure it is coolant. It's bright green. I just changed the oil again and gonna take a look and see if it makes any difference!
  15. Looks like no matter what I do this antifreeze keeps coming back to the head. Replaced the intake manafold gasket and the whole intake manafold due to a leak. And I also replaced the throttle body gasket between the intake manifold. But this coolant keeps appearing and pooling in the head. The oil is slightly milky but you won't notice it unless you rip the valve cover. Any thought or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  16. Nice looks like my flatty, I've got an 85 sechelles red. I'll get pics ip for reference my car is completely bone stock

  20. Can't find the ka Starion on zilvia, anyone have a link? The reason I want to do the swap is just reliability, I just don't have much luck with the g54b
  21. Well, I've been contemplating on doing a ka24de-t build, I've got a decent amount of parts gathered up for a ka turbo build that we were gonna do on my brothers 240sx, plans for his car changed due to him getting an sr20 for a steal! So I am left with a whole bunch of ka goodies. And that got me thinking about putting the lil ka in a starion shell I have laying around and making a fun/reliable daily beater Plans for the ka were pretty simple. Oem rebuild. Metal head gasket, t3/t4 .48 trim on 7 or so lbs of boost. basically just want about 200 horsepower and it to be fairly reliable and fun at the same time, what do you guys think, already have all the turbo parts laying around and some rebuild parts. Gimme your opinions on this!
  22. I'm in! Hopefully I can drive a starion out there, but if not I'll bring my truck and trailer incase someone breaks down on the trip over there
  23. Well, today I decided to replace my valve cover gasket. After I took the valve cover off I noticed a pool of greenish fluid in the head, looks like antifreeze! Yay! Now I'm looking at replacing the head gasket. What's the best head gasket for these cars. Any tips or tricks you guys do when you replace a head gasket? Thanks
