  1. Ya we need a place to find vendors for the parts that we can still get of the shelf ,so to speak. Some have gone out of business or dropped carrying our parts. And of course add the guys on here who are the go-to guys for certain pieces like 101 and star-orion. You have my vote!!
  2. Polish the wheels, get it painted, rebuild the engine, and swap to 5-speed and it will look just like mine.
  3. I bought one from MK1 over a year ago and have been modifying the vents to actually draw in and exit air through it. I have set mine on the car and the clearances around the hood are pretty good. Still would need to be prepped and painted before install. I will be adding the flush mount lockdown hood pins and also the factory heat shield and factory mounting hardware.
  4. I purchased mine through a GP when Midwest Turbo was still doing business with us. I got my set for around $250. That was reasonable and a much better product than the Suspension Technique springs that people have used in the past. You also figure that this is a discontinued item that the original manufacturer can produce in quantities for us. Think about that :woot:
  5. EIther he painted them or used yellow protective film over them. Drifting a flatty is PIMP!!!
  6. THat is and was what I was trying to describe. Thanks for showing me some direction to go along with what I was thinking in my head.
  7. Before you guys go all crazy on me, hear me out. I believe the suspension and the wide body panels are what is most different between the two cars. The interior, engine bay, doors, hatch and misc pieces are exactly the same. I have access to a RO4 85.5 and 86. Using the 86 widebody suspension under the 85.5 for a wider track if suspension mounting is identical nut and bolt affair. Use the widebody front airdam and where it flares out, design wheel flares similar in style to those used on the 82-85 supras. Not exact copies but created to accent the flat fenders and quarterpanels. Use polished widebody 7s and 8's. Most of the original side moulding is missing. I would choose to have a black vinyl graphic cut to mimic the moulding with the turbo-intercooled in front of the rear wheels and GSR-II behind the front wheels where the TSI usually is. Also thought of using the rear hatch from the widebody to have just center part of spoiler. This car would look like it was thought of as a mitsubishi design exercise to 1-up toyota guys in 85 before the intro of widebodys and new supras of 86. The bonus is the 85.5 is intercooled and LSD. This would blow a comparable equiped supra of same year out of the water if actually doable. Ok now laugh if it doesn't make you think it could really be possible as a creative mod. bring the pain--- good or bad. Figure this be the best place to get feedback due to the idea.
  8. Does anyone have the part number for the injector clips for our cars? I believe someone said that they are a Bosch GM style?? :confused0024:
  9. A lot of people would start believing we owned a bunch of rare secretly imported R31 skylines and rebadged them as Mitsubishis to make them legal!!!! Other car brand guys would be that dumb :rofl3:
  10. For as long as this topic has been open and the progress on those lights, these are actually impressive looking without looking tacky on your car. Then again the rest of the car exhibits tasteful and agressive mods for a quest!! :woot:
  11. I would have been willing to bet that was your car. Mine looks like D-venables and gtbanas cars in the showroom section except for having maroon leather interior. 8)
  12. I have one of the clear splitters to use as a template to make a custom piece for my car. Then I will use it on another car when I aquire one. I believe that the instructions that Landrocket sent me shows DanBrews car in the pics. Nice Figi!!! Mine will go on eventually and I think his rear deflectors rock!! I have been studying pics of his diffuser. But about his splitter, a few people have done similar things but Landrocket built an awesome piece!!! What an original craftsman!!
  13. I personally own this cars twin. An 88 Durban Maroon TSI 5spd but with maroon interior. I own this cars old *DM 3" exhaust with Apex muffler. Given the price of this car it is worth it to someone who has a great running powerplant and a below average body. It would be saving you money. I still want to see this car in person.
  14. I believe it is listed as missing the drivetrain but otherwise complete. Car as I have seen it is in nice shape overall. Cheaper to buy with all parts there but otherwise not worth it unless you had engine and tranny ready to drop in.

  16. Hey I am in Olympia!! If you need any help, then send me a PM and I will hook you up!! Nice ride 8)
  17. Hey naughty, good thing you grabbed the car. I looked up the color and it is Buckskin metallic. Is it a full black interior or half tan and black?
  18. Paint on the car or ink on the girl? I am confused!!!
  19. Unless you sold it or it was wrecked, what happened? DVenable, PDodson, GTbanas, Jonboyb's dads car, Kawika, You, and me had the only nicer Durban Maroon ones on here. Seeing that there are few of them, I know I am keeping mine. My girl said she would leave me if i ever sold it. Its family now.

  23. Did you buy it up in Washington? Or did you purchase it recently after the mods because I have seen the car around Olympia about 6 months ago.
