I just used stp oil treatment when I did mine. It is very thick and does not run off. I also soaked my piston/wristpin assy in a mixture of stp and oil as my machinists did not use assembly lube when installing.

Why part it out? Stick with it dude, keep tinkering. And enjoy it some.

I love my cummins and i see i am not the only one. One of the main reasons I bought the truck is because they look so much easier to work on in comparison to a diesel v8. Pulled the injectors once because of a no start issue when cold and it was not bad. Wish I would have just put new 50 horse sticks in it because now less than a year later I'm starting to get hazing at idle, so most likey another junk injector. And guys if you think oem quest injectors are expensive price a set of common rail injectors. It will make you cry. Good looking truck iron, I see a quad cab in my future as my family grows but I dig the look of a single cab long bed.

I'm not sure about most people but I seldom do any city driving. My commute is about 45 miles round trip with most all interstate, for me a hybrid would not be worth it. I car pull with 2 other guys, so that helps the a lot.

Downside to a diesel is it has somehow become more expensive than gasoline. Diesel here is now 4.10 a gal and gas is 3.21 a gal. Bull stinky.

Thank ya sir, I have not looked into it but a buddy of mine said the LSD was around 8-900. I just don't get why someone would order a new 4x4 truck diesel and skimp on the LSD option, what's a thousand or so extra at that point.

How much did the limited slip cost ya? I have a 2500 so it is a different axle but mine is open too and its for the birds.

Nice find TIM. Those blend doors etc suck, The whole system does, bad design. My 03 has some issues with a couple of them. Check this site out, they sell replacement doors made of steel so the tabs etc won't break. Get an aftermarket boost gauge first as the stock one is inaccurate over stock boost. A good 2.5 or 3" exhaust goes a long way too.

So is it cranking over fine buy will not fire? Or it will not even turn over?

Interesting metric, but after a little reading it seems his idea is not exactly new. However he may have found a way to make it work better than before. Interesting design none the less. Google search swing piston engine.

So after going the entire house with an angle grinder and a flap disc, then spraying it down with a bleach water solution I finally got some stain applied today. Only got it on the covered porch side as they are calling for rain tonight/ tomorrow. Blue, if they are ditching the RX8 then the rotary will no longer be offered as it is the only vehicle in mazdas lineup with the engine. Your link says they MAY bring it back...not a sure thing. However it is a sure thing that it will not be manufactured come 2013.

Lawnmowers and VW's do have a cooling system, they have cooling fins, and sometimes shrouding and fans to cool them if there is not enough airflow.
