See this is the problem with human beings in general. Instead of getting enlightenment from the article, people chose to give an unwanted opinion on where the article cam from and how accurate it is. you glance through the article and didn't even get the posters name. Damn! I like Turbo Rusty, But It is what it is. There are "black" people in Italy, France and every other country in the world. "White" Italians may or may not consider them selves white but if asked what color they are, what answer could they give? A little bit of HIStory: The one drop rule Legislation The one-drop rule was a tactic in the U.S. South that codified and strengthened segregation and the disfranchisement of most blacks and many poor whites from 1890-1910. After Supreme Court decisions in Plessy v. Ferguson and related matters, White-dominated legislatures felt free to enact Jim Crow laws segregating Blacks in public places and accommodations, and passed other restrictive legislation. Legislatures sought to prevent interracial relationships to keep the white race "pure", long after slaveholders and overseers took advantage of enslaved women and produced the many mixed-race children. The 1910–19 decade was the nadir of the Jim Crow era. Tennessee adopted a one-drop statute in 1910, and Louisiana soon followed. Then Texas and Arkansas in 1911, Mississippi in 1917, North Carolina in 1923, Virginia in 1924, Alabama and Georgia in 1927, and Oklahoma in 1931. During this same period, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Utah retained their old "blood fraction" statutes de jure, but amended these fractions (one-sixteenth, one-thirtysecond) to be equivalent to one-drop de facto.[3] Before 1930, individuals of mixed European and African ancestry were usually classed as mulattoes, sometimes as black and sometimes as white, depending on appearance. States often stopped worrying about ancestry at "the fourth degree" (3 x great-grandparents). Madison Grant of Virginia in The Passing of the Great Race wrote: "The cross between a white man and an Indian is an Indian; the cross between a white man and a negro is a negro; the cross between a white man and a Hindu is a Hindu; and the cross between any of the three European races and a Jew is a Jew."[4] In the case of Native American descendants with whites, the one-drop rule of definition was extended only so far as those with more than one-sixteenth Indian blood, due to what was known as the "Pocahontas exception." The "Pocahontas exception" existed because many influential Virginia families claimed descent from the American Indian Pocahontas of the colonial era. To avoid classifying such people as non-white, the Virginia General Assembly declared that a person could be considered white so long as he or she had no more than one-sixteenth Indian "blood". Walter Plecker of Virginia[5] and Naomi Drake of Louisiana[6] insisted on trying to label families of mixed ancestry as Black. In 1924, Plecker wrote, "Two races as materially divergent as the White and Negro, in morals, mental powers, and cultural fitness, cannot live in close contact without injury to the higher." A subtext to this concept was the assumption that Blacks were somehow "improved" through White intermixture. When the U.S. Supreme Court outlawed Virginia's ban on inter-racial marriage in Loving v. Virginia (1967), it declared Plecker's Virginia Racial Integrity Act and the one-drop rule unconstitutional. Despite this holding, the one-drop theory retains influence in U.S. society, from both sides of color lines. Multiracial individuals with visible European and African, and/or Native American ancestry are often still considered non-white, unless they explicitly declare themselves white or Anglo. (After the Civil War, some people of mixed ancestry who "looked white" "passed" into the majority white community by not going into detail about their backgrounds.) The Melungeons have been a multiracial community of families that tended to marry "white" and move into majority culture. Multiracial people are typically identified instead as mixed-race, bi-racial, mulatto or mestizo, or Black or American Indian, for example, based on appearance. Latinos, the majority of whom are of mixed ancestry (usually Amerindian and white, consider their Latino cultural heritage more important to their ethnic identities than appearance or ancestry. The one-drop rule is not generally applied to Latinos and Arab-Americans of mixed origin. Regardless of President Obama's racial makeup, There was a time that having a white mother( almost unheard of) or a white father(documented) meant nothing more than the rims in your garage. another piece of property. He has proven one thing though, 2 wrongs don't make a right. Meaning? this campaign was riddled with BS attempting to assassinate Obamas character and love of this country, untruth, people calling him terrorist, all from Mccain or by his camp or by his supporters. Obama pretty much took the high road. I can't recall any derogatory remarks, or insults from Obama or his camp. have not heard of any Obama supporters shooting and electrocuting kids though there were some idiots in Pa. , fake me out black panther want to be's making a fool of themselves. Long story short, It was knocked down the day after election. I've gotten off topic, It's nothing wrong with recognizing the Caucasian side of Obama, but respect those who see him as "a black man". Jim Crow and everyone like him does.

I don't think there is a purpose for that. It's strictly a show piece. That kit makes the front end on that M3 look very cheap. but to each his own. It's definitely a good tool for marketing the service or paint.

Yeah. apparently the machine is ridiculously expensive. These guy (alsa Corporation) will refer you to people in possession of the equipment for service. But man it would be nice and unlike conventional paint, they say it's environmentally safe. I have quite a few pieces I'd like to do.

Has anyone tried the liquid chemical that will paint any material chrome like? Here's a link of it: I thought this stuff was kind of cool for some plastic and possible metal items on the car.

Actually, bolting is what I am looking to do. It wont be a replacement mount. just an adapter plate between the mount and crossmember. I was looking at 6061 and 7075-t65 aluminum.

I'm looking to make a adapter plate for the g64 swap. What i need to know is what typr of metal can I use that will be strong enough to bolt the engine/engine mount to? something that wont bend under extreme stress and weight.

If you are going to use the g63 out of a dsm, you will need custom mounts aswell as custom adapter for the tranny. g63 or g64 out of a truck or van will bolt to both the cradle and the tranny with no problem. stock dohc head good for 600hp. no additional work needed. wide block w/ $700 worth of forged pistons and rods will handle quite a bit more than most of us will use on the street. parts galore both aftermarket and stock, new and used available for the g63/g64. To go mpi, I spent $660 for new head w/o cam,$400 for intake,$600 for fip. After selling all that and sourcing parts for the g63/g64 hybrid, I purchased entire g63t topend minus exhaust manni and valve cover for $300 shipped, $150 for a g64 short block with all brackets,$35 for complete g63t wiring harness. $700 for scat rods and wiseco pistons. Right now, I'm trying to source a shop who will do the machine work and possibly rebuild the head for me.

as long as money is being made and services are discounted, the "so-called" threat of illegal immigration will continue. How often have we heard of those same officials making law, employing these immigrants to do work at close to nothing,round clock, and no insurance. Not beneficial to them to approve this law and be required to pay betty white triple what they pay alexa hernandez. almost like legal slavery, except these folks have a choice. Lot of folks wont work these odd jobs or for that little amount of money, so what happens, the work goes undone or takes longer to complete. The bigger problem is these american companies using unfair negotiating practices in hiring people to do jobs. They are always looking for ways to save money and make stock holders more money. Look at immigration like incoming terrorists. how do they get in to this country undetected? with all eyes over looking boarders and such? Someone who inspects, searches, watches and regulate is being paid off to close there eyes. They say money is the root of all evil. In this country, most of that is true. for other crimes such as sexual deviance on woman and children is about power. The want for money and the want for power will always be an intricate part of life. But harsher punishment for these crimes will have people thinking twice about s***. Even perverts will think twice about committing a crime against woman and children when the punishment is decapitation for a first offense and I don't mean cutting off the head at the neck.
