  1. For the Automatic it is the 2-Prong. I went through my old stuff and found the Autozone part #. It is TU254 ( Temp Switch ). The threads that helped me was posted in 2004, I looked through the site but for some reason could not access threads that far back. Hope this helps.

sorry to hear about your ordeal. I used to have the same issue with the OD on a Quest that I had a while back. Try changing the Temperature switch on the Thermostat housing. I beleive it is the 2-prong one. it is more than likely bad. I had some great help from Shelby at the time. I was looking to see if I could see some old posts on this to help guide you but could not find them on the site. But once you change the switch that should solve your OD problem. Hope this helps.
  3. Check out the junk yard, you will find the exact same mechanism on the Izuzu Impulse etc. or Maxda RX7s.
  4. Just checking to see if I could access the Fuel gauge sender/float from inside the spare tire compartment without having to drop the gas tank on a 1988. all replies appreciated. Thanks.
  5. See Ebay notices and alerts.
  6. for sale on Ebay, complete kit for Digital Dash Conversion.
  7. I have one, send me an email to jmangra@aol.com and I will send you a picture. Thanks.
  8. Jason, is that you? I have a grill and a header panel that I had bought from Alex, the header panel has the cut out with mesh in place which I had painted the same color of my car, I don't think that I am going to use it, if interested let me know. Jack.
  9. This is just a guess. I am thinking that it might be your intake gasket that is leaking.
  10. I have a new one, let me know if you still need it.
  11. here is what worked for me: I used two 3/4npt coupling( make sure it it black iron because it fits right into rad hoses so you could use the hose clamps), with 3/4npt PVC nipples and two garden hoses, also you will need a garden hose fitting that's used to connect 2 male ends of a garden hose. faucet>>garden hose>>fitting to connect 2 male ends of garden hoses>>pvc mountain/coupling>>to water pump hose. thermostat housing hose>>coupling/pvc mountain>>the other garden hose>> to ground. btw. remove thermostat, and open heater to max. flush until water is clear, then reverse garden hose ends so that you are now flushing from the thermostat end, flush until clear. when finished blow air in one end and have vacuum on the other end, then reverse ends, until you get most of the tap water out of the engine. This is the system that I came up with for a close to perfect flush. hope this helps, once you figure it out you will see that it is pretty simple.
  12. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s222/gtbanas/audi.jpg I think that something along these lines incoprorated into the Starquest tail lights would work well, together with matching leds for the 3rd brake light.
  13. you will have to do a lot of fabrication to make it work, my opinion is that it would cost you a lot more than to replace your oem alt or go with a GM conversion. I believe that the Galant alt is clocked different from the Conquest alt, the Conquest alt is clocked at 12 and 6 for installation compared to the Galant's, not very sure, I tried this awhile back. Good luck.
  14. No offense to innovation, this is great, as much as I would like to see upgraded tailights, the round lights doesn't fit with the lines of our cars. My 2 cents is that it should be a more squarish to go with the lines of the car. keep the ideas flowing. thanks.
  15. I got these #s of of an old receipt, bought them from Kragen, I don't remember which one is the low temp (passenger side) or the high temp( driver side ), the #s are TS25801 and TS81771, I beleive they were Niehoff and they had the Mitsubishi diamond stamped on them. Hope this helps.
  16. I have one from a Diamante that I used in my conquest for a little bit, it is a direct fit, every thing functions , steering wheel remote etc , including the tape player. Let me know if you are interested.
  17. I had the same problem after replacing my stock head with a Marnal njv head with new hydraulic lifters, but with new lifters it took me a good 10mins drive to get the ticking to go away, which in fact was replacing the air in the lifters with oil. Some people usually soak the lifters in diesel to bleed out the air but that still doesn't get rid of all the air, thus the exaggerated ticking on startup after a rebuild.
  18. I like the front license plate holder that is on the front of the silver one, where could I find one of those? thanks.
  19. Anyone knows where I could find a boost hose MD092242, the dealers in my area do not carry it anymore. btw it is the braided hose from the waste gate to the ovcp. Thanks in advance.
  20. If you can't find one, here is the website where I got mine's from. ron@moto-on.com <ron@moto-on.com>
  21. Adrian, about the seats, no problem, I was hoping for maybe a trade, '83 hood for the seats, I know you know someone who could help with this trade or sale. Later, Jack.
