  1. Crappy. Hope you've initiated your charge back and received your funds
  2. Thank you for this because my ebrake doesn't work either lol
  3. I'd say that's more than fair. You exercised far more patience than I ever would have in your shoes. The messed up part is that they are still taking orders as if everything is going out in a timely fashion.
  4. Rope the car off when you are at the mainstreet shows lol. Congrats on the award, neat little trophy. I like the indoor car shows personally
  5. Tragic. I was really hoping for positive news so I could follow your lead
  6. I'll definitely be waiting till your kit arrives before I order mine. Apparently they will have 1 or 2 extra kits available from this batch they are currently producing
  7. Hopefully they honor their words. Literally just sent an "inquiry" today asking if they are still producing the subframe kit with the steering rack and according to them they are up and running in their new shop.
  8. That thing looks immaculate. How long have you owned it? If I keep the g54 in here I will definitely be ditching the factory plastic and fabbing up some aluminum or stainless charge piping
  9. Fair enough. Just remembered i have an old photo bucket account I could probably use for this. Thanks!
  10. Great write up. I was looking to do one of these because It'll be years before I swap my car. How did you get your photos small enough to be able to post on the forum?
  11. Well this is extremely disappointing. Lord knows I would be up for ordering one of these immediately if my money wasn't likely just going to sit in limbo.
  12. Bringing this back from the dead for any potential new comers. Sure wish I found this thread previously rather than guessing on what should work. That being said my setup is 17x9 +2 in the front and 17x9.5 -7 in the rear. Tires are Falken Rt660s in 245/40/17 and 255/40/17 respectively. I have minor rubbing on the fender liners during aggressive cornering but that could be cured by raising the car up a little bit. One thing I would like to note that I haven't see anyone mention, is that when you increase the front tire width so much the car will be more inclined to follow any crowns in the road. Which isn't particularly fun with our steering box setup 😅
  13. Sounds sharp! Sorry to hear of work going sideways for you. Hope you've been able to bounce back okay. And nice! You literally never see Starquests anywhere up here so that's neat to hear
  14. Now that I have my wheels that sounds about right. The fronts contact my coilovers so it looks like a 15mm will cure that. And the rears still have a ton of wheel arch to fill. Custom wheels here I come 😅
  15. Thank you! Trying to figure out how to upload pics of it in the sun. Paint job underneath had some clearcoat peel and a few runs so it was inconsistent but looked good from 10 feet back. The wrap obviously makes it look ALOT better. What color are you painting yours?
  16. Yes vinyl wrap will preserve what's underneath. BUT if the paint is in rough shape underneath, the vinyl will pull the paint off when you go to peel it and change colors
  17. Do you happen to recall the offsets for your wheels? When I was purchasing my new setup I had to take a guess at what I thought would fit. Insane how such a small car has massive wheel wells. I went with 17x9 +22 in the front with a 17x9.5 +12 in the rear. Did 245/40/17 upfront and 255/40 In the rear. They should be completed this week so fingers crossed on not having any fitment issues.
  18. I suppose ultimately it depends on how much and what kind of traction you require. Are you looking for something to provide good cornering stabilbity, straight line traction? Or just a well balanced tire that won't wear out after a season of driving
  19. No worries at all I'm an open book with costs on projects. It's a vinyl wrap and cost me $2500 through a friend's shop. He usually charges $4000+ depending on the vehicle. It was a cost effective decision to go this route and make the car more visually appealing for the time being till I have the extra $9000ish I've been quoted for paint
  20. Thank you! I guess I'll also post a pic of what she currently looks like. The ones above are from when I first got her. Can't post any of the one I took on my phone though because even after resizing, the file is too large. So have to use the crummy ones friends have sent me
  21. I was told that this is a factory olive grey car but it's definitely been repainted(poorly I might add) hence my having the car vinyl wrapped until I have the extra funds laying around for a proper paint job. Thank you for the welcome. Definitely excited to find that there's still some activity in this forum since I don't have facebook
  22. I feel as if I'll enjoy it for a long time. I intend on doing a full restoration, going to the gas station/car wash/beer store never gets old hearing people ask "what is that? Where did you get it?" Hence my username haha
  23. Thank you for the welcome. One of the things I actually love about the car is that it is a GREAT driver. I'm not sure what brand the coilvers are I can get back to you on that. But I was blown away by the ride quality. Zero issues driving this car all day long without feeling fatigued. Definitely can't wait to do a rack and pinion swap in the future. Since those photos I've actually had the car vinyl wrapped another color, done a headlamp upgrade and installed a downpipe
