  1. Do you have any links/images of these cars? I've had a DSM for 10 years now so I might be of some help there.
  2. I believe rear seats might have been added for insurance purposes.
  3. It all depends on what your goals and desires are. The Talon has a way bigger aftermarket for parts and can be easier to get parts for. The Conquest looks way better but obviously is harder to get items if needed and with the TB injection, are somewhat limited compared to the 4G63. Do you have any links or pictures to both vehicles? Hopefully the Talon is a 6 bolt crank if you're looking to make big numbers. Being a 92 it will have the stronger 4 bolt rear-end as well.
  4. Good luck on your search. I have a love for the FIJI blue as well. I'm painting my white quest to metallic blue this spring.
  5. It's no surprise items/products don't sell like they used to. These cars, i'm guessing, are marketed towards the younger generation. The same generation that graduates college with 20-40K in debt on top of struggling to pay for every day items (rent/mortgage/insurance/food/gas etc.). I get that these cars and reasonably priced compared to most cars out there, but it's no wonder people don't purchase cars like they used to. Compare numbers of cars sold today to the number of Edsels sold. We all know Edsel was a huge flop, yet the number of those units sold are way greater than anything in this day and age.
  6. No exhaust is the best exhaust on a turbocharged car. Less resistance the turbo will have pushing the exhaust gases out, the quicker the spool time. I'm installing a exhaust cutout on my Talon TSi on a factory cat-back exhaust. With the flip of a switch I can go from loud/mean and quick to stealth mode/stock. There are plenty of dyno numbers out there to prove how a less restrictive exhaust will increase torque and hp.
  7. Bought one new for $18 shipped the other day thanks to this posting. Should be here today or tomorrow.
  8. Early January we had a blizzard and 18 inches of snow where I was. Work didn't close. Got more nasty weather Sunday night including white out conditions. Got my car stuck in a 3 foot snow drift. Got pulled out then went in to work.
  9. Do you have any more pictures of this blue beauty?
  10. The only show on Velocity I don't like is "All Girls Garage". The girls annoy me when it comes to the projects they're doing. Love the channel though especially when the Mecum Auction is going on.
  11. Thanks! I've got a couple things to do on the Talon and the Conquest and I'll be all set with them. The Stealth is my "winter beater" in this case. I obvioulsly have a problem with Mitsu vehicles. I check occasionally for a Galant VR-4 and would love to own one! I am jealous that you have a Fiji Conquest. That's my favorite color.
  12. I haven't been in the garage much either. It's been too cold to do much of anything. This Saturday I'm going to attempt on some minor rust repair to the Conquest.
  13. Hello everyone. I'm looking for several items for my car. They are 87 style shifter boot (mines 89 style), rear wiper arm, and a radio antenna. Even if the antenna is a aftermarket stationary one that works, that is ok with me. Feel free to message me. Thanks! Rick
  14. Sounds like a rough winter haha
  15. Been a pretty long winter so far here in West Michigan and im longing for spring terribly. After a wind storm in November, ice storm around christmas that left over a inch of ice on the trees and last weeks snow storm that dropped 18 inches, I'm looking forward to April. I went out in the garage the other day to start up my cars for a minute that I have in storage. Doing so made me really wish I could go for a nice drive. Anybody else have their vehicles in storage? http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/yy2/PSiTSi17/utf-8Q2014-01-045F17-44-245F130_zps7e95d96f.jpg
  16. Nice radio. Does that work with the factory steering wheel controls?
  17. I know I want to be cremated and have my ashes spread in nature (love the Smokey Mountains) or have them used specifically to help a plant/tree grow. As for my cars... luckily I'm still young and unless something unfortunate happens, I won't have to worry about that in the near future.
  18. I know the owner is a member here. I saw his car in Pigeon Forge last year on vacation and I believe he lives there also. The car is featured on allpar.com.
  19. Ive had two of them and the springs inside them go bad after about a year. Id spend a little extra and purchase a nice used autometer one or vdo boost gauge.
  20. If there was possibly enough interest I might be able to help in some t-shirt/sweatshirt designs as I have design programs and graphic design background. I must say I really enjoy coming to this website. It's a smaller community(compared to dsmtuners or 3si) that I find more welcoming and interesting. I've been a member on dsmtuners since 2005 and maybe have 20 posts in that time. I check in here multiple times daily hoping to find new topics to read and contribute to topics.
