  1. Still in Texas . I think I still have those pics of the carb setup and the 12" rotor upgrade on the front with dual piston calipers . Thinking of mass producing that adaptor plate for the brakes . Hey I'm going to that meet in Bastrop on the 14th , you going ?
  2. Hey why don't you open up the stock intake and weld a four barrel spacer to it an mount a holley 750HP double pumper . Fully tunable and cheaper than any after market injection setup hands down. Then make your own header out of plumbing elbows (so they won't crack) and mount a T66 on it .Along with all of the other goodies etc..... Then crank up the boost 30lbs + and whoop up on some V8's. hey guys I'm back...
  3. Have a pair of red door with glass and lifts intact , also a pair of red hoods free to any one that wants them . I'm in college station texas just north of houston Geo gquest00@yahoo.com
  4. those are early chevy style mounts
  5. http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/Pro...amp;prmenbr=361 http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/gquest00/det...jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/gquest00/det...jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/gquest00/det...jpg&.src=ph made mine under 75.00
  6. Have you ever bought a suspension or bearing or a seal that had a different brand inside? Moog often buys mitsu parts,National and BCA buy koyo . You would be surprised at how many companies do this not just auto parts .Mrs. Bairds bread for instance has more than twenty labels it uses ex: HEB, Town Talk, Food Lion etc.. But it's still came out of the same plant.. Hyundai and Toyota share a compact car ,Mitsu and Chrysler, Ford and Mazda the list goes on and on..
  7. I'm not taking it personal , go and order one and you will see what I'm talking about . I posted the pics are wrong and so is the info and the prices are way high . But it is a walbro GSL392 . I'm just stating the facts . If you don't believe me go and look at one or don't . I'm just on this board to help out and give free info . The rest is up to you...
  8. I don't know why you guys are arguing ? My first post has the correct part number for the Walbro GSL392 = P72131 which is both an Oreilly and Napa part number . It's for an Audi 86' 5000CS with turbo . Both retailers have them marked over 200.00 but they do have a lifetime warranty... Not trying to step on anyone here.... The pic's don't always match the product http://www.napaonline.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...mgrpid=68718210 http://www.oreillyauto.com/B2C/conditionse...p;description=+ The P70199 is only a poor replacement for the stock pump . http://www.oreillyauto.com/B2C/conditionse...p;description=+ I personally would buy one off the net if your not worried about the warranty or pay the extra for the warranty or those of you with creative minds can see a way around this . Since wrong info is often entered in the customer data bases or parts are returned by a girl friend or other and returned or warrantied under their names..... It happens all of the time. I paid 149.00 for mine since I get a discount with a lifetime warranty.... Peace Geo
  9. Well I'm too sure of that. look at all of the after market companies using aluminum calipers, brackets. Plus there are many car parts made of aluminum trannies, upper and lower control arms , rack and pinoin, master cylinders,transfercases,etc.......
  10. Making some aluminum brackets out of thicker material . This will eliminate the need for spacers between the bracket and the original mounting location . Doing this along with a tranny adaptor.....
  11. Guys sombody is in the process of getting these brackets made . I made the working prototype . The template I used is being modified (trimming off the fat) on a cad type program so be patient...and yes I agree with Scotty.
  12. The brackets are 3/8" thick . As for the spacers on the hub I used a spare set of rotors and cut the rotor from the hub face that way I didn't add to the machine cost. The only measurements I left out is the radius at which the new calipers mount .

  14. Guys Oscars right brakes are to be taken seriously . I did do the math on the size of the master cylinder , distance of travel , caliper pistons , clamping force. As for the DOT lines these are the DOT approved ones 3SX sells and the pads are wagner thermoquiet's , I also have a set of slotted and dimpled 12" rotor's with hawk pads I just purchased when I change them out I might be selling the plain ones . I'm still running these on my daily driver with no problems . I'll be at the meet this saturday.. Peace Geo
  15. I made my own bracket used 3SX Performance 2 piece lines for the Quest which screw directly into the aluminum dual piston calipers , redrilled the Quest bolt pattern onto the new 12 Â 1/8" x 1 1/4" rotors .Car stops great have had them on my daily driver now for a month . The pads are about 2.25 x6" twice that of the stock ones. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/gquest00/alb...m/ph//my_photos no this is not a kit Peace Geo
  16. Why not change out the front K-member for a flat body ? Aren't they narrower than the wide body ? Or how about making the lower ball joint adjustable so it can be moved in and out sorta like the adjustable camber plates. Peace Geo
  17. I use EV8 's NGK these are the Gold Palladium plugs . My car has never had such crisp throttle responce and it pulls harder.
  18. Isn't Volkswagon using the sperical valves on there I-10 . It's a 10 cylinder engine with stagered cylinders they are almost side by side and it uses one head . The block is almost twice as wide as our blocks and is used in industrial applications. Now that would be a wild engine swap.. OOOOO OOOOO they are spaced like this but closer
  19. What about the mopar 518 ? It has the guts of a 727 torqueflite with an overdrive in the tail housing which can be toggle switch or hooked up to a vacuum switch. You can run a 456:1 gear ratio out back and have a final drive of 272:1 ion overdrive. I had a 727 in my 70 Dart with a stroked 440,4500 stall , 488:1 gears and that baby ran 9.30's in the qrt all motor . That tranny was very stout.. Peace Geo
  20. That Hobbs pressure switch can be purchased at any swimming pool supply house . I bought one for 28.00 it is ajustable up 2 to 30lbs. It can be used also for aditional fuel pump .For higher boost this will energize a secondary pump hooked up in paralell with the primary with a check valve. Peace Geo
  21. I have a 2" spacer with the adaptor I made for the carb and it has more mid and top end power with the 2" spacer . Sort of like a tunnel ram .
  22. I purchased a pair of Audiobahn 12's (aluminum cone) and two US Acoustic's amp 's USX2150 for mids and high's and the USX1000D for the subs . I built the box to conform around the rear strut towers so I still have room for a hydraulic floor jack and my tool box and a spare drive shaft he he . I have an Alpine 7892 deck that is pretty adjustable . Man those twelves hit harder than my old system thaty had 4 15's with two 5002 Linear Power amps . I'm very happy with the ZEB .
  23. I ran mine under the car and came through the grommet under the rear seat
  24. I have the Hella offroad lights with 90/130 watt bulbs very bright indeed. I also have the 110amp alt. powering my elec. out of 95 Mazda Millinia 2.5 be careful which lights you get some are plastic...
