  1. I think I am, therefore I am. I think.
  2. Looks like it was a balance shaft bearing.... I guess he hasn't seen many of these blocks to know that. I'm eliminating balance shafts anyways so its alright. I'm waiting to clean up the block until i have it bored out and honed.
  3. So I took the block to get hot tanked and when I got it back, the machinist said that he removed the cam idle bearing.... I don't have a clue what he is talking about man. Can someone show me a picture? It's a G54B
  4. PM sent. I'm just looking for the number one assembly, if you have them numbered.
  5. Would you like to trade the fidanza for a stock flywheel?
  6. Story is, number one connecting rod bearing spun and the crank ate it. Might as well try to bulletproof engine while its apart. I'm getting the block hot-tanked today; waiting on money to start machine work. Probably gonna bore cylinders .20 over and oversize connecting rods. So I'll need .20 oversized pistons and oversized connecting rod bearings. I probably forgot some things so please help me out Thanks Complete engine gasket set (Metal head gasket) Main bearings Rod bearings 6 piece balance shaft elimination kit Cam timing kit ARP rod bolts ARP head studs Schneider valve springs Valve seals Valve seats Valve keepers Valve guides Valve spring retainers Jet valve elimination kit Exhaust manifold (Mine is cracked) Cast pistons Vs. Hypereutectic pistons - What are pros and cons for street and occasional drag use? Connecting rods New crankshaft
  7. I'm going to remove the secondary emissions box, so I'll take the downpipe
  8. Any cracks in the exhaust manifold? Will it work on an "84? How about the TEP downpipe? Would that replace my precat?
  9. I'm not in the loop about meets or anything.... can you send me a PM with details?
  10. Yeah I was gonna call them again when I have money available and check out exactly what they plan on selling me.
  11. Found several local at Engine Rebuild Services in Portland... $75 new Is there a difference in crank journal sizes from the different years? They said the earlier years had a smaller journal diameter and the later years were bigger. Is that right?
  12. I need a new crankshaft because mine is trashed.... anyone know where to get one?
  13. I do have some, but I'll have to upload them to photobucket. There's also some rust on the body panels underneath and hidden away where it's not obvious. The car sat under a tree for over ten years and mice have completely gutted insulation from all over the car... So it's gonna be a big project that I'll have going on while I go to college.
  14. I'd like to start this off by saying I got this car as a graduation present from high school. My dad had this car before I was born, and he blew the oil sending unit and proceeded to drive it twenty miles home.... So here's the number one bearing..... http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3447.jpg And here's the rest of the car http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3168.jpg And here is what I did today The rest of the images are here http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/Cra...sian62/Starion/ http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3449.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3450.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3451.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3453.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3455.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3457.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3461.jpg This is the number 1 bearing.... ON the crankshaft... Yes there was some play with the connecting rod... http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3478.jpg And these lines were on every connecting rod bearing surface on the crankshaft... http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3480.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3490.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k243/CrazinAsian62/Starion/IMG_3486.jpg
  15. Put me down for 40 feet of red.... when do you need money?
  16. Seconded. I'll take as much as our cars need for all the vacuum lines to be replaced. I'll pay with Paypal, if that makes a difference.
  17. Just got my turbo oil return line from him and it is very nice You definitely have a repeat customer coming back.
  18. David is a great guy to deal with. My hydraulic stuts just came in PERFECT condition!! Very thorough and informative experience dealing with him. Thanks again
  19. I'll take a set.... whichever one he doesn't choose. How's $60 for the set and we'll discuss shipping?
  20. Newbie question.... I have an 84 Starion flatbody. The 1G MAS on the air filter setup won't work for me, correct? I haven't heard of any car earlier than 86 having a 1G MAS, so I assume this is not the mod for me?
  21. I'm blown away.... I seriously feel so inadequate....
  22. I don't know the exact names for these but they hold up the hatch. Seems like they're hydraulic struts or something. I need a pair of these, any year (I think). Willing to pay shipping costs if needed.
  23. If rally takes the ISC, how much for the rest?
  24. How much for the Throttle Position Sensor?
