A way to cheat and test the neg. Cable is, Take a set of jumper cables and hook one end to the neg. On the battery and the other to the engine. And try to start it if spins over like it should then u have found the problem.

I have the same issue with the idle. 800 cold 1100 warm. But I don't have a stutter. I have been tryin to find that gremlin for the last 6 weeks. For me it all started when I changed and set the tps and yes my tps is good. I have sweep tested it hot and cold.

So yesterday I was driving to the gas station. Stopped at a red light and a yellow 2001 celica gt pulls up next to me. He starts reving the crap out of it bouncing it off the rev limiter the hole 9. This kid is barely 18, thinks he really has something. So the light turns green and I take off like normal, he takes and off with the fart can scream. We get to the next light same crap. So light turns green I get rolling and stand on it. He got out half a car before I got spooled up. But I grab 2nd and pull right passed hit 3rd and get out about 3 lengths. I back out of it and pull into the gas station. He pulls in and starts talking to me about the quest. That's when I find out his car is a 2001 with an auto. He has a cold air intake and a 2.5" cat back system. We talk for a few minutes and he says, his friend has a starion and he knew he was gonna get his a** handed to him. He calls his friend and we go over to look at his car. Omg its a 89shp black on black but is in horrible shape. Has been sitting outside under a tarp for 2 years with the windows down!!! Need less to say the interior is torn up. There are stray cats living in it. Its Missing the shp wheels actualy rolling on olds cutlass wheels. Under the hood has hard pipes, 20g, gm mas, hks bov, apexi afc, hks boost controler, turbo timer, Now I'm talking to his friend he is telling me he thinks the motors blown. Wants to fix it but doesn't have the money. I offer to buy it and he says he will get back to me with a price after he talks to his mom. I never thought a ricer would lead me to a gold mine. Lol

If I could find one in that kind of shape I would part mine for it !!

I run rotella 15/40 year round, but my car is spoiled it hasn't seen snow aslong as I've owed it. I also have a heated garage to tho.

looking for one that is still salvagable mainly looking for a body. it doesn't have to have motor or trans. but i would prefer it did tho.

I don't think you are waisting you're time. I am in desperate need of a windsheild as are many other people. It would be great to have more than one supplier for them. Personaly I think that its a joke that we are having this much trouble finding them. I mean I can buy a windshield for anyone of my other cars from anywhere, but I can't find one for the car that needs one !! wt....

So I have been losing oil for awhile now, nothing serious. About a quart every 2000 miles. Today I power washed my motor drove home. Opened the hood and found my leak. Its leaking out from the timing cover and head at the front of the motor wt..... Do I replace the head gasket ?

looking for another conquest or starion, would prefer a non runner. I am also open to parts cars.
