re-post I posted this a few months back. I have seen this car in person very clean car but highly over priced just like everything else if u look at his show room of collector cars has many muscle cars priced $50,000 on up for cars that are obvious restorations and not " factory correct " or "original" as stated. many having body filler quarter panels and or poorly hung replacement quarters.

i am with mk1 struts and they rub under hard acceleration but they fit nicely.

My wifes uncle has given me a opportunity to buy into his asset recovery business. I have worked with him part time for 4 years, with very good luck at it. It will cost me $13,000 to buy in. For that I get a 06 ford F350 crew cab wrecker with the 6.0L PS with 246,000 on it. truck is equipped with a sneaker lift and a warn 18,lb winch. I'd Have a 150 mile radius to cover. I will be paid $50-$75 per car recovered and 25% of profits at the end of the year. But here is the catch 3 year non compete agreement if I take the truck and leave, $6,800 per year for insurance on the truck. Its a LLC company he makes $50,000-150,000 per year. But his business has been slow this year, has only made $12,000 so far this year. I will not be leaving my current full time employment, I will only be doing this part time. Unless it gets consistently busy enuf to pay me more than my current job. I am having trouble pulling the trigger on this deal. I'm thinking it might be worth it just for the truck. Just looking to get some input on this.

update after talking with my attorney and landlord we came to an agreement on the housing situation. They have decided to let me buy the house. so great deal for me there but the truck is another story . the kid that hit it has more judgements and wage garnishments than i have ever heard of .I have filed all of my paper work to sue him. But i dont plan on seeing any money anytime soon. as for uninsured motorist coverage it wont cover the truck, but it does cover all of the medical bills for the uninsured driver. so i may endup selling or trading the quest to get a replacement truck

I never even thought about uninsured motorist coverage. I will be calling my insurance agent in the morning.then calling my attorney on both matters. Thanks for the help guys

So I woke up early today to a phone call from my landlord. He asks if I can meet with him today so we setup a time. I meet with him and he tells me I need to be out my may 10th because they are selling the house. Mind you I have rented this house since june of 03. Already has someone lined up to buy it so that's not an option. I leave his office and get a phone call from my buddy's wife. She is freaking out crying and tells me that chris (my buddy) got into a accident with my truck. That he is at the hospital and they won't tell her anything. So I head up there and he is fine a black eye and bruised ribs but he is ok. My truck on the other hand is totaled. Some 18 year old kid in a 3500 chevy ran a red light and t-boned my truck then my truck hit the stoplight evidently. On top of everything the kid has no insurance and I don't have full coverage so I'm out a truck with no compensation. And I have 31 days to find a place to live and a replacement truck to move with. So if anyone wants to trade there truck for my quest I will be posting it and all info in the next few days.

also the new "pressure regulator" sucks!!! on my jeep its also the fuel filter wt... think im crazy advance auto Part No. 23079 as for the sock setup my jeep has 2 one inside the assembly advance Part No. FS220 and one that sucks from the bottom of the tank. Part No. FS221. my guess was it was sucking the inside dry or low and grabing air but im probly wrong. the other thing that I've found is the plastic hose cracks and sprays fuel in the tank resulting in a low or no pressure condition.

I've been after a set of louvers for 3 years, I would definately be down for a set, if price is within reason.

That montero has had oil changes every 2500-3000 miles since we bought it in 04 with 25,000 on it. with mobile 1 oil and usually a purolator filter. My local Advance auto didnt have a purolator on hand, so i bought a fram. I will be the first to admit that yes i drive hard! But i havent drove the montero more than 20 miles in the last 4 years. It is my wifes suv not mine. I used to run fram on everything i owned, but since i rebuilt the motor in my truck i've been running royal purple and a k&n filter. As for the quest I've been running a wix ever since I've owned it. not saying that fram is all bad just stating that i have had problems with them. just like every other company out there, there is bound to be atleast one bad product in a production run. I understand that it happens. BTW that thing has been gutless from day 1. mostly due to the facts that it weighs 4,200lbs is awd and the 6g72 is only rated at 173hp@5250rpm 188lbs-ft@4000rpm
