  1. 2000+ posts mark, almost 5 years later. Just posting this since it's a new forum and all and well... someone had to break it in with pointless BS. -Robert
  2. You're 80 members away from not being over the hill. -Robert
  3. That's what I live for... LOL... -Robert
  4. Jimmy is the locator map for the locator map. -Robert
  5. Top Line. Got it from my (ex) machine shop years ago... I told them to be sure to get a turbo set, and the guy said ok. Got it home, and... psh. Came with two oil pump gaskets, pick up tube style and block pick up. Didn't touch that head gasket... though 83stariontravis used the same HG... boosted to 18lbs on stock head studs, so I guess it's ok. But I'll save it for my N/A 2.6's... maybe. It also came with a bunch of gaskets I've never seen... probably for FWD 2.6's. -Robert
  6. Awesome... we cut the additional holes in this gasket I had from a "full gasket set". I matched it as close as I could get it to the shadow that was left on the oil pump backing after it was cleaned. Never saw that TSB till now... haha... -Robert
  7. JDM... FTW... LOL... Could make an evo look alike. -Robert
  8. Need a locator map for the locator map. -Robert
  9. Well... the new search has let me down... possible you can change it to 2 letters or more?? I tried to search for 83 pump gasket... no luck. And then, engine break in... no luck. Searching for that info without those two letter words is not very helpful. Also... it's increasingly tedious to have to put + for every word for it to include all in the results. It also is increasingly annoying to have to click on "more options"... everytime... just so I can display results as topics. So many clicks to search... anything can be done about this?? Never messed with forum software on an administrative level. Most other forums I go to have less annoying search engines, could be the software. Guess I was spoiled by the all powerful search engine of the last forum. Haha... I suppose you could say, that's what I'm wanting... the search to be setup like the old one. -Robert
  10. Both your avatars aren't workin by the way... -Robert
  11. So... I figured out how to use this bad boy... After we had to go to Walmart at 3am for a new power plug for it... LOL... still can't believe they had one. "Replacement dryer plug". The one it came with looked like it was from the 60's and had similar shape to the 220v dryer plug, but juuuust wouldn't fit. My friend had welded before so I let him go at it. He gave up fairly quick "this thing is too old, stick welders suck". I decided to try and screw up some metal AKA weld... it's not hard at all!! Had a lot of fun with it, especially since I've been wanting to weld all my life. No lessons, just figured it out welding up some new exhaust... of course it wasn't mine on the first try... LOL... http://home.comcast.net/~driftability/welding1.jpg Check out the cool blue flame stickers on my helmet from Harbor Frieght!! http://home.comcast.net/~driftability/welding2.jpg Welding under the car, for style points. I figured out how easy it is to burn BIG quarter sized holes in thin exhaust tubing... and then figured out how easily I can fill them. Now the hard part of laying a good bead... more practice!! -Robert
  12. BACK IN OCTOBER Ok, I just got this fancy spark machine... It looks fairly old, but in good condition... it's a HEAVY MF... I was told it works by a trusted source. http://home.comcast.net/~driftability/SparkMachine.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~driftability/SparkMachine2.jpg Now, how do I use it?? This is gonna be my first time welding. I just bought some thick leather welding gloves, auto darken helmet, chipper, wire brush, and some 6011... and I plan on welding exhaust pipe. Any tips?? -Robert
  13. Yeah, I got one cheap from someone here... since he got the wrong pressure plate for it. I'm sure it's an rx7 style, haven't put it on yet. Want to sell your pressure plate for cheeeeeeap?? /hijack Cool site!! Haha... -Robert
  14. Sooo... the 83's got the pick up tube, which gasket is it: Is it the same as the later style "restricted center" (top two)?? Or is it the big ones at the bottom... and why the larger cut outs on the bottom left?? -Robert
