  1. Still have the Megasquirt? Starting a re-build in a week or so and definitely want to go MPI!!
  2. Hey everyone. Have been gone for a while. Work fell out and its been all I can do to survive! Did get some time to play again and set up the aem water meth on my 89'. Had it around for a while and finally got it on! I noticed a few other guys had it on the site. Wanted to know how its doing? What mixture are you injecting and how much were you able to advance timing? Any tips would be helpful! Thanks
  3. Life and death is up to God! We should preserve it in any form and leave it to God's will.
  4. I'm trying to get one from StarquestRescue!! He has one and I cant wait to get it done!!
  5. How do ya think it would compare to a 20g??? I have one and was saving it for when I get to do my MPI conversion. Maybe I could try it out for now.(as long as I don't run the boost up to high)
  6. I did put it in the original post that I have a ported manifold and 2.5 with no cats. I'm in sc near savannah ga. Wish I was closer. Can't find anyone to take care of the rear for me and I'm not familiar with it. Plenty of experiance with motors not rears. I do think that with the auto a set of 3.90s would be great! Any way I could get you to set me up?! I would trust you for sure! Just don't know how to get it done from here unless I pulled it and sent it to you! Would that work? I was also thinking I should check the bov and the wast gate. I double checked all the hard pipes and hoses to be sure I didn't hace any leaks robbing from the turbo! I have a 20g as well and was saving it for when I get to changing over to mpi! I still need the megasquirt, injectors, wideband and time to work on it! Just want to drive it and enjoy right now! (Although the 3.90s would be nice) Ray
  7. How should I go about checking out the turbo? There doesn't seem to be anything I can see or hear and there is very minimal shaft play if any.
  8. Its auto. I need 3.90 gears! When I can find some!
  9. If I decide to stay with the 12a I will let you know!
  10. She runs at stoich to one bar rich when boosting right now. I guess the quicker spooling is nice for around town and such. The added low end makes for a fun run around town! :ylsuper:
  11. I'll keep it on and try different boost levels!! With what I have how high would be safe? I don,t want to blow it up!!
  12. The 17c is still on the car! I set it at 14 at first and now it is at 12.5.
  13. I'd stick with the fiji!!! Wouldn't trade mine for the Z and it's not as nice as yours!(YET)
  14. I have both and tried each on my 89'. Both seem to work well I think the 12a spools faster! I have marnal head, ported manifold 2.5 exhaust, 1g mas, hard pipes, greddy profec II and trilogy injectors. It really didn't seem to make much of a difference when I put the 17c on. Other than it didn't spool as early when I hit it. But both gave good boost. Any opinions?? I'm familiar with the 12a but not at all with the 17c! Any one else have one?
  15. OK than it should be fine! I just want to figure out what size the injectors are? Still seem to be running rich! Thanks Jimmy
  16. How is that? I thought that would effect which fires when! Doesn't the secondary only come in to aid the primary when accelerating??
  17. Mine is an 89' and the stock wire is white and green for the secondary and white and black for the primary. Hope it helps.
  18. While I'm at it I figured I should check the injectors individually to be sure they are working properly. What is an quick way to be sure they are both working? I thought about disconnecting the secondary and just running at idle on the primary and then unplug the primary and plugging the primary wire into the secondary injector. Would this be ok just to check to make sure they are both working?? :confused0024: Of course I would shut of the ignition to switch the plugs! Thanks Ray
  19. Oil and Filter changed!! I'm just not sure how long it may have been before I got it??? I guess I'll just have to keep a close eye on her! Thanks Guys!!
  20. I had been trying to figure out why I was running soooooo rich and now I know!! The car had trilogy injectors installed before I got it and last night I was determined to find the cause of the problem. I was looking to find the #'s to the injectors to determin the size and decided to disconnect the secondary inj. and start her up. She wouldn't start??? I took that injector clip and put it on the primary injector and she started so I simply left them switched and she ran stoich!! The clips were replaced along with the injectors and must have been reversed when this was done!!! :rolleye0018: The concern I have now is that I dont know how long the car has been running like this!! I know the excess fuel can get to the oil etc. so I have changed the oil and will probably change it again. What else should I check or look for to be sure this hasn't caused any other mechanical issues?? :confused0024: Thanks in advance!! Ray
