Why would t4 or header have to do with much? Wouldn't that depend on the person
-
I would suggest a t4 .58 a/r exhaust side for sure... Also e85 will help but you might need larger injectors or maybe a meth/h2o kit. A lot of turbos can get you 400whp with boost. s256 bullseye will get you there...hell an hx35 can get you there. Just make sure the hotside is large enough to flow air.

Just to save Andrew the time I am pretty sure it is running E85 fuel -

I miss the OEM Turkey gobble for some reason...

Mine did it with a closed air filter....but I was running more boost I think it depends on several factors -
jszucs has the best idea. If you think it is THAT bad for your turbo you are crazy or need to replace it anyways Phinko uses his launch control all the time...turbo is still fine as far as I know. You need boost off the line...also flat foot shifting so you don't lose it while shifting

Glad I wasn't the only one who hates that snap ring...lol I also used channel locks. I do not have any needle nose pliers big enough

I don't think the hardpipes are really necessary and more of a flashy mod. For the 250bhp goals I would suggest the same turbo Technology suggested. MAFT will be a huge help and you can NOT go bigger injectors before the MAFT.

The Scion engine isn't turbocharged right? P.O.S.

standalone computer system for a conquest
Starwolf replied to njdefiore's topic in Advanced Virtual Mechanic
Megasquirt is the cheapest I know of. It is pretty much all do it yourself though so it isn't always advised to beginners. It is still a very powerful standalone ecu though. Even ms1 with upgraded software is really nice setup that costs around $300-$500 -
Holset for sure... I don't know why 3600 rpm for full spool is laggy?
-
Just throwing this out there but I haven't read your other posts or anything. Could it be a timing issue? Do you have an aftermarket gauge to go by actual temp?

1. Kate Beckinsale 2. Rachel McAdams 3. Emily Blunt? That is naming actresses and I have a thing for European accents...

Well I have recently moved my battery to the trunk and since I have done this I have had an issue with my ecu resetting. I ran 4 gauge from the trunk back up to the front of the car and wasn't sure if I needed bigger wire? I have heard of people using 2 gauge and 0 gauge but would 4 be enough? I have two electric aftermarket fans and no aftermarket sound system so I am unsure of amps? I went by a chart online for gauge wiring and it showed for 20 foot and 100 amps that I would need 4 gauge. Thanks in advance!

Although I do wish the price of our cars would go up a bit. It is nice being able to buy a pretty mint 87 quest with 27k miles for $3,000.

I am looking for an 88-89 5 speed transmission. Located in Arkansas and needing one asap. Thanks!

Tunerstudio autotune....WOW!
Starwolf replied to CaliConquestAlex's topic in MPI/Standalone Trials and Tribulations
Maybe a stupid question but would someone using a different wideband not supported with tunerstudio or megatune still be able to use this feature well? I guess is there a way to put in your settings or something? Sorry for such a noob question. -
running rich cant figure out why
Starwolf replied to ultraflexxj's topic in Advanced Virtual Mechanic
You running stock size injectors? -
Injectors are an issue. Tuning fuel is an issue. The turbo is an issue (absolutely no specs on it) The turbo might be good for 250hp...who knows. You didn't list how much boost you figure you will be able to hit. Personally I say go a different route. I would suggest a holset over most t3/t4 upgrades because of cost and reliablility from them.
