  1. due to circumstance i can no longer maintain the dream of one day being able to afford doing all the wonderful things to this beautiful machine that i had always wanted. 1987 conquest B71, black leather/blue line interior, ~80,000miles manual it would be a huuuge head start on a project as it has the following: 19c turbo marnel head 1g mas (clean) abs delete emissions delete full a/c delete done right cruise control delete 89 ecu rare 89 seats (blue line) clean interior (mostly :/) one of those fancy white faced glow gauge kits and the following not yet installed: cosmo dual coil coilovers mk1 struts/shocks other stuff im probably forgetting also have tons of extra parts including: sensors injectors manifolds computers and most every thing else that goes bad on these cars wheels, interior and body parts. 89 tan cloth seats this is my fourth conquest and haven't been able to devote anything to it in almost a year, and in that time rats have managed to move in, and since i dont have room for it, it has been stored at my folks place an hour away... so its time for it to go to someone else. i would be happiest to get close to 2000 for it, but you and i know thats not going to happen for a non running car regardless of mods. so i guess ill start at 1500obo with all my extras included. car is located 94573 i put it here first, if i dont get my bottom line ill put it on CL, if i get no luck there ill be parting it out... please.. its fate is in your hands.. ill try to add stuff as i remember and get pics up when i get out there next. http://i824.photobucket.com/albums/zz161/conquest707/1207011021.jpg http://i824.photobucket.com/albums/zz161/conquest707/1207011018.jpg http://i824.photobucket.com/albums/zz161/conquest707/downsized_1207011016.jpg http://i824.photobucket.com/albums/zz161/conquest707/downsized_1207011012.jpg http://i824.photobucket.com/albums/zz161/conquest707/1207011027.jpg
  2. ummmm... 1m = 1000mm 1cm = 10mm 1um = .001mm 1nm = .000001mm keeps going for a while.. units are units, the limitations of tooling is the same whether they are in increments of SI or standard
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvUHW8Yl3lQ makes me feel all cuddly

  7. chip, shelby.. you guys have waaay more endurance for this sort of thing than i do.. big ups for trying but its not going to get anywhere.. people that have fallen into these thought processes dont follow the rules of rational argument.. you cant fight against someone that uses circular logic
  8. mmmmm. soooo good. theres like 7 thai places where i jsut moved to, pop like 60k, not a bad ratio imo.. actually grubbing out to some of that chicken yellow curry business in a couple mins.
  9. completely agree, my point is that the concept of universal structured religion is flawed. you see people in every mainstream religion (at least the ones we are exposed to in our culture) latch onto the writings and teachings of their religion as the be-all for spirituality. but these writings were created by flawed humans and teachings stem from flawed cultural context. so i guess what im saying is although religion has a wealth wisdom contained in them, you have to come to your own conclusions about the legitimacy of each lesson contained, and not discredit other sources simply because you havn't been instructed to seek wisdom from them..
  10. on religious beliefs: religion is a model for moral and philosophical principals, just as measurements of distance in space (inches, meters ect) but due to the intangible nature of which, the existence is impossible to prove but the presence of which are undeniable as the affects are inherent in everything we perceive and experience. in the same way people use the standard system rather than the metric system, people practice different faiths because thats what they're comfortable with, it doesn't make any other less credible. problems arise when people view faith as a tangible entity which is counter intuitive to the concept of "faith" in the first place. jesus spoke in parables, which are metaphors, or models, for moral principal. which although is generally not the case, the foundation of the christian religion, so is it that far fetched to see the whole thing as a model? their intent is not false, and is not discredited by historical inaccuracy, so why get all worked up by aguing which events are real, whos faith is rooted in the correct things, ect? find continuities in the universe, improve the karma of the world you have affect on, come to your own conclusions through sincere meditation and logical thought on creation: does it matter? really? we live in the now, whats important is to understand the world we live in now. paraphrased marcus aurilius: "how can we lose what does not belong to us, the past is lost behind us and the future does not belong to us yet, we live only in this fleet-footed moment" favorite quote from meditations of Marcus Aurelius : If you consider things outside your control as good or bad, then whenever something bad happens or something good fails to materialize, you blame the gods or are angry with men because they are, or could be,or someday might be responsible for the presence of some evil or the absence of some good. This sort of thinking breeds injustice. If, on the other hand, you think of only those things under your control as good or bad, then you will have no cause to find fault with god and no reason to quarrel with others.
  11. because they started using energy based weapons like phasers and such which brought about the energy force field for defensive tactics which are useless against solid state projectiles (bullets) so they became the superior weapon again... boom
  12. looks kind of like a chia-brick.. my friend said that while this was on my computer and i thought its was way funny
  13. so i went to this show tonight and the girl whose house it was at was friends with this dude and we went to the bar afterwards with all the cool people and we were talkin and turns out hes owned like three sq's.. i was soooo excited we talked sq for like 30 mins. apparently he was on here for awhile.. he told me his handle but cant for the life of me remember what it was (i was like 6 negro modelos and 2-3 manhatans in..)anyways.. no response necessary, just thought id say: STARIONS/CONQUESTS are AWESOME!! ..that is all
  14. sorry to butt in but one think ive noticed is, chad, you keep saying youre being "reminded" of terrible things, but to be reminded you have to already been aware of it, which i dont think was the case. thats what media and the internet is all about, bringing to your attention what you wouldnt have known otherwise. if a reporter didnt go to africa, write about it, get it published, then a reader posting it in unconventional outlets such as a car forum, i know i wouldnt have known about it, and have the feeling alot of us wouldnt either.. just food for thought ^oops, guess i didnt type fast enough lol
  15. pretty rad bro.. reminds me of the 90's postpunk stuff mixed with maybe a bit of the dropkick murphys style punk. thats love is pretty sweet, i love long instrumental sections. jsut my .02 i think a horn or two would set it off, but last week i saw a band with two lead saxes and they rocked hella hard, so it might just be stuck in my head lol. hardcore punk bands like bad brains, chicago and new orleans blues, surf rock (pre british invation american rock has alot to offer i think), folksy rock and roll stuff, anything underground hiphop liek hieroglyphics to i immortal technique, also like stuff like fall out boy and taking back sunday.. shhhhh.. alot more too what do you play? do many shows?
  16. comon.. everybody whos parted these things, or had a few ic's laying around knows theyve thought of it before..
  17. hey i own two of those, and was very close to owning 3 more... niiice
  18. jsut a thought, think we could space up the center link instead of lowering the end link? people do this with e30's to reduce bump steer, but i cant for the life of me remember what the mounting looks like on a SQ.
