Well. I had planned on a restoration of this 86 Conquest but I think it was more of an impulse buy.ha ha Bought the car with a rod knock and a shot clutch and proceeded to remove engine, trans,intercooler, oil cooler, exhaust and radiator. Engine and transmission are not included with $200 price. Car is in great shape overall and has a few minor dings. Only rust I could see is a little inside the typical rear wheel well bottom and it's only rusted through in one small spot about 1 inch long. No airdam, front bumper cover has some damage,stock exhaust is off the car and is all there except for the tailpipe/muffler. Car is originally red, resprayed blue and will need paint. Interior is black velour and not a rip or stain that I could see anywhere. small crack on the bottom half of the center console and pass. side door panel has a little damage to the top. Stock radio works great(even the cassette player works). Only thing missing from the interior is the typical hatch cover. Pics will be posted tomorrow, just had to get this on here and commit before I changed my mind. $200 cash or Paypal to sandkrogers@comcast.net. Have clear PA title in my name. What a freakin joke! Next they'll be writing tickets for too many Christmas lights or your lawn isn't green enough. I could see if you had a motor on a stand in your front yard and parts laying all over the place. These cronie neighbors I have are the same way. Gary, That clutch master and slave were on my list to replace when I did the clutch/flywheel install, but I ran out of time. Just letting you know they both may be original parts. Bryan

Hi Gary, I torqued everything to spec on the timing chain replacement with a calibrated snap-on wrench. Never got around to adjusting the valves but always thought the valvetrain was a little noisier than it should be. I figured with the Caravan head it was always going to be a little louder than stock anyway and it always ran well hot or cold. bsek was done when I bought it.

Free Stock head with around 100k miles on it. I cannot verify running condition of it because it was on a non-running engine when I bought it. Pickup ONLY, just north of Gettysburg on Rt. 15 in PA. can e mail pics and directions with your e mail adress. I have a box of some misc. stuff that you can have with the head as well. First come , first served.

Thanks for coming to get er Gary. Couldn't have asked for a smoother transaction and although it sucked to sell it, I'm glad Gary ended up with it. I can only hope to resurrect another one to the condition that one was in when it left here.

rough warm idle turned out to be some cruddy connections around the CTS, sounds good now. Compression was 125 in all cylinders. Stock radio now working (except cassette of course) and ant. always goes up, sometimes doesn't go all the way down. Amp shown in pictures no longer part of the sale. Waiting to hear from a potential buyer this evening

Thanks to everyone who inquired about the car. Looks like the rough idle when warm issue needs to be resolved before I commit to a sale. So I'm going to work on it this week to find the source and run a compression check so I don't cause any future owners headaches down the road. I'll update all interested buyers when I get it straightened out.

Ended up being the shifter ball was not in the lever (it was beside it) I'll take the console out and bolt it up that way next time.

SOLD Located just south of Carlisle PA New within the last 4k miles- timing chain/gears, tires, brakes, master cyl., clutch, u joints, cv boots, distributor rebuild, 1 3/4 ic pipes, *DM silicone htr./rad. hoses., rear crank seal. 164k on body, around 10k on unknown motor rebuild with caravan nonjet head, 100k 5 speed trans just installed with new factory clutch/pp. 1G mas with *DM alum. turbo pipe. Car idles a little rough when warm and leaks oil from a couple places that I have not found yet. (Leaks about 2" circle of oil parked overnight). bse was done with rebuild, oil pressure is 3/4 cold and never below 1/2 on gauge. has never heated up over 1/2 on temp gauge. abs delete ac works great, HKS turbo timer, autometer boost gauge Originally maroon interior, black swap was done with 87 style seats and new molded carpet and came out pretty nice. I do have black 89 headrest for the seats polished SHP wheels with a little curb rash (see pics) cruise control just stopped working could use an alignment but drives pretty solid otherwise. new front swaybar endlinks (autozone) 3" *DM exhaust with magnaflow muffler/tailpipe. no cat. factory radio/ant. does not work. I put in a 300watt amp with mp3 input and new pioneer/sony speakers and I use my mp3 player. stock 12A spools up quick and she's alot of fun to drive. Original 164k 5 speed tranny included with sale completely undercoated with no rust on the body or frame, door dings as you can see in pics and a 4" dia. shallow dent under drivers door handle. pm me for details/phone #, clear title in hand. bump for new price and revised description (spare motor no longer included)

we put it all together and every gear is grinding hard, cant even really get it into gear. What time are you planning on meeting? I'm gonna work on it tonight till it's fixed, just dread dropping that tranny again. somethings not lined up.
