  1. my 87 widebody had 4 bolt axle, but i swapped over to the 6

  3. did you changed the alternator recently ? i had same problem before with a reman alternator,i went through 3 (bosch) in a week before i got a good on,
  4. check the vacuum line that connect two head light together, right in the back of the front bumper, mine was cracked and it did that before too.
  5. yeah, check your CAT make sure it not all plugged up
  6. You can try another transmission shop and see what they tell you, if both of them says it's the tranny itself, then more than likely it's in the tranny.
  7. sound like bad clutch, how old is the clutch ? my stealth was doing the samething, when hot the engine rev really high but the car is barely moving, but i just put a new clutch in ita few weeks ago, i replaced the slave also, but found out it was the clutch master cylinder is junk.
  8. did you mark the cap before you remove it ? you could over tighten it, if you back it up a little bit it will turn easier, it should have some preload on it, will be a little snug but not to tight, add some fluid to it will help also, i use tranny fluid
  9. hi guys, how do you guys hook up the shiftglow oil temp gauge ? it has 3 wires, black = ground, red = 12v, pink = ? also has 3 tiny screws, 1st is +, 2nd is -, 3rd is S means any thing ? i lost the instruction
  10. i used the non fouler spark plug before in my 01 Mazda Millenia, they're known for having bad CATs, so i gutted the cats out, bought the non fouler spark plug from NAPA, drill out the non fouler, screwed that into the cats then screw the sensors in, cleared the codes, never come back again, and get better performace.
  11. what kind of work does it needs for 3k ? just tires and paint job ? got the hood scoops ? did you fix the active exhaust yet ? any leaks ? they have a common of rear steering line leak, and transmission grind
  12. there maybe more air in the system, bleeding it until all the air come out, i see times that we have to bleed all 4 wheels.
  13. i like the car, but it's hard to get all the money back from it.
  14. try not to get crazy with the pressure washer at the sensitive area especially, electrical stuff, like alternator, coil, cap & rotor, fuse box, air filter box, MAF etc, could cause it to have a short in the system, or no start sometimes when the engine is hot, don't hose the cold water on to exhaust manifold,or turbo, sudden cool down may cause them to crack.

  16. i got mine out in less than 10 mins, come out at the bottom, but mine don't have the bottom engine cover
  17. the 5.0 GTS stangs are just a regular bare bone "trip down" GT, from factory they're about $1,000 less than a GT, but then off course you can add the options.
  18. hi guys, i hate to do this, but i'm selling my Starion, 87 widebody, with intercooler 5sp, gray with black leather i'm asking for S2,500 for it, i know i can't get back all the money that i put into it, but i like to get something back, rather sell it to Starquester, who know more about the car, than some young kid that knows nothing about it, just buy it to beat the hell out of it. Car has 125k,run strong pull hard to redline,good stock 12A turbo, does not burn oil,does Not run hot,fans are working,slight missfire at idle, not all the times, transmission grinds abit goes into 2nd when cold,also reverse but i go 4th then REV then it working fine, body is good, few scratches, couple small dings, everything works except domelite,no A/C components in the car, but have them in basement with alot of extra parts,body has some rust on left rear fender, i did some sanding,compound and primed it gray and doesn't look bad, one side frame rail is rusty,minor motor oil leak but no drips, leather has some nomal wear but no tear, no sun roof, lower airdam has crack, but have a brand new one in white will include,paint not bad for an 87,but needs a repaint to match ( airdam and primer fender) new front airdam not installed this is what i put in within the last 5k miles Exhaust minifold, 2-1/2 downpipe, hi flow cat, cat back, HKS mufller, struts all around, front strut mounts, pitman arm seal, MK chrome hardpipe kit, boost gauge, fuel pressure gauge,*DM aluminum radiator,coolant temp sensors, themostat, O2 sensor, valve cover gasket, cap,rotor, plug wires, Vac advance,EGR,fuel fiter, trilogy turbo injectors and clip, blow off valve, 1G maf, cosmo racing air filter, rear end mounts, alternator, slave, tires front 205/55/16, rear 245/50/16, wheel bearings, working 3CD indash decent but not perfect job polish the rims by myself plus more that i don't remember checked compression 120-125 across, oil pressure OK, jet valve not sticking swapped out 6 bolt rear end, axles and hub remove A/C components, secondary air can, stock exhaust but will include all plus more. curently inspected but no emission My state doesn't need Emission for anything older than 96, but i do have stock cat, complete newer catback, resonator,muffler, and alot other small parts might consider trade for something newer, sport car , stickshift, good body, need clutch or trans okie prefer near by MA i can't load the picture, but can E-mail upon request, sorry about that. i don't know how to put the link from photobucket down here but they're at http://s574.photobucket.com/albums/ss181piggylover1985/ my DSL turn off at 630 PM, don't know why but here's my cell 413-433-9251, after 5PM only weekdays, weekend can call me anytime, ask me any question Thanx for looking Richard

  21. A friend of mine he has an 84 that has 380 HP and 400 ft/lb torque, run 1/4 mile 12.4 on street tires, he said he knows everything about Mustang, i doubt that, but he said they don't start the sn95 until 96 with the 4.6L is that right ?

  23. is that your Mustang ? i like that body style, but can't afford to buy one. what are the common problem with the mustang, do you know ? i know the tranny is one of it. i built a few of them with input shaft bearing failure/melted to the shaft. a friend of mine has a spare T5 from a 93 in his garage i can have for $250.00. maybe a little diferent in gearing right ? and do you know what's the difference between the 5.0 and 5.0 HO ? i never own one before, but i think there's alot of after market parts i can get for it.
  24. what do you guys think a bout a 95 Mustang, 5.0L HO a little over 200 hp ??? i think that's the last year that make the 5.0L for Mustang Bogwarner T5 worldclass, poping out of 1st, might need synchro and 1st speed gear, needs front u-joint, slight missfire ,the guy wants $1,000 for it, good body and paint, no rust, some kind of racing hood, and cheapy perfomance exhaust, clean int.
