That looks good, I think I'll try it, but isn't this a real pain to remove from the car? It's been a long time since I stripped my totaled Star but I think I remember these real hard to get off, along with the side spoiler piece. Which I'd like to take off also and clean dirt/leaves out to prevent moisture collecting, and rust forming. -GCNTSi.

X2, I started with a heat gun and a plastic razor, a real heat gun too, but no luck. I think if I had let it sit in direct sunlight for a while first that might help. But the 3M eraser wheel did great, just avoid to long in one spot, or going too fast. Buffed the car afterward and I never would have thought the 20 year old paint could have looked so good. I thought I was going to have to repaint the car, but not now. -GCNTSi.

What do you mean rehooked it? Was it unhooked or did you hook it farther back somewhere? Mine has this problem every once in a while, but it's become habit for me to just check it often to make sure it is tight. I'll fix it one of these days. -GCNTSi.

Yeah thats why I was posting that it was on at the time, I missed those on the show but I knew they were there somewhere, because of the internet pics online. But seeing all those Celicas makes me miss my 1st car, a '77 Celica I bought when I was 14 years old, for $100! I wish I could find another one in the same condition now for $100. -GCNTSi.

I don't think I would lable that as balls. I think stupid and careless fit that better. :roll: I think the guys have balls and are a little crazy. I remember one time an accelerator cable broke on one of the cars in the middle of a stage and the navigator laid down across the back of the engine bay, with the hood open leaning against the windshield, his feet hanging off the pass side fender, while he controlled the butterfly by hand while relaying to the blind driver by radio where to go and how fast, in order to avoid a DNF, and they were going pretty fast for having a guy riding on top of the motor. I thought that was nuts. And if you don't have balls, I don't see you doing that. Too bad I can't find video of that. -GCNTSi.

Well I'm in need of some money for another turbo rebuild, I was planning on putting these on my car but now I need to get it running again, so I will sell them for $260 shipped in the lower 48. They are in great condition, definitely look newer than 83. One scratch on the right side of the passenger light, probably can be polished out. I think that racing takes more skill than any other kind of racing, and balls. And you guys that say you can jump like they do well maybe so, hell I jumped my old Montero as high as some of those guys too, but not 10 jumps in one stage, with no damage at the end of the stage. They have some of the best suspensions in those cars ever made, I heard most of their trannies cost around $75k each in with the instant servo shifting setups. It's too bad Colin McRae was killed last year, and that they don't play the WRC on Speed every Sunday night like they used to, I sure as hell miss it. tkal, look at the original post date at the top of the ad, it's from last July, probably sold or scraped. And none are ever too far gone that they need to goto the grave, unless it's rusted to the point that the floor is falling through. :wink: A good rust free body with no drive train is rebuildable with the help of others here. -GCNTSi.

More pics would be great, like the front and driver's side, interior, under hood. Is it still the factory turbo? Have you done a compression test on the engine? I'm curious, why no plate, tag applied for? But looks great, was it garage kept? I assume no rust underneath anywhere? -GCNTSi.

Very nice, I wouldn't care if it was automatic or not as nice is that car is! I want it! So do you put anything inside to help protect to interior, like baking soda, or damp raid? And if you don't plan on driving it for some time you may want to put it on some little jackstands to take some weight off the suspension. But awesome car! Those look real familiar, I think I've seen the pics of those on the same property years ago, I think they were for sale years ago on this site as fixable cars, or at least one of them. -GCNTSi.

That looks pretty expensive! I got a Felpro kit with the ex manifold to turbo steel gasket, paper oil gasket for the oil drain, and the steel turbo to downpipe steel gasket that you need, oh and there was a copper Oring that I don't know what it was for.
