  1. I made sure the ECI fuseable link wasn't broken and swapped in the 89 ecu. Car still won't do anything. I'm pretty sure the fuel pump isn't coming on to prime the injectors either. When I turn the key forward the tach twitches and I can hear the ECU make a clicking sound. Is there another fuse or relay I should look at or something?
  2. When I turn the key into the starting position, like as far as you can go without engaging the starter the tach jumps once just barely. But it doesn't move during cranking.
  3. Can I just run a straight normal wire in place of the fuseable link for the ECI to test if that fuseable link is bad?
  4. Hello all. My car died on me about a month ago while driving home from work. I would try to restart the car and it would idle really low like 300-400 rpms and stall. It would bog even worse if you gave it any gas. I bought an 89 ignitor to replace my old one since I determined it wasn't getting any spark. I've since wired the ignitor in and verified that my wiring is correct. Car still won't make spark so I bought a new coil as well. still no spark. So I reckon I could have just gotten a bad ignitor at this point. Is there anyway to test it to ensure that it works?
  5. Yeah any towncar/crown victoria/grand marquis 5.0 makes 150/160hp depending on whether it came with dual exhaust or not. They ALL came with the poopy E6 heads, they have small throttle bodies, different firing order than an HO 302, and small cams. You'd have to cop the topend from an HO 302 to get all the womenz.

  8. None, thats just it, its all aboot looks. Fitment isn't about performance for me, its about changing lives with a glance rollin through traffic. Edit- BTW... MY CAR RUNS NOW!! Unfortunately though oil is leaking from that band clamp that holds the center section together and catching fire as it drips down. I can't win. Gotta pull turdbo back off and send it back. This car won't beat me. I refuse to lose.

  16. Rubbin is racin holmes. If your tires don't rub sometimes, your wheels don't fit. Eventually whatever is rubbing will wear off. My old beater accord I drove around while I was rebuilding the motor in my 240. Anywho... Day 35 of having no turbo starts to get disheartening after awhile when you've done all you can do and the part you need you have no control over.
  17. I've been meaning to get the inside of the ridge on the lip trimmed up to get it to fit a little better. I agree on the 205's though. I figured i'd take the 205's off my 7's and put that on the 8's and the 225's from the 8's and put that on the 9's. But alas, my car will never run. My turdbo won't ever be here it seems. Been waiting well over a month now. Crazy how a 1-2 week turnaround time turns into about 5 weeks.
  18. The 1g dsm mass air flow sensor can read more airflow than a stock starquest sensor from what I gather.

  22. Zomg 2 and a half hours of constant peril and stuff blowing up. Movie would have been awesome if it was like 2 hours shorter. After awhile I couldn't help but think that this is just getting too redundant. Def not top ten on my list.
  23. Word. Its not for everyone, only those who are willing to sacrifice practicality in the name of amazing fitment. I can't drive something around that looks like a hovercraft because you can't see the wheels from any angle other than a direct side view. Its not for me. This thread is gonna get totally off topic but i'm okay with that lol.
