...and was stupid? i disagree completely. i quite enjoy it.

I finally have some good tunes in the Quest!! Over the weekend I installed a Kenwood Dual Din head unit and steering wheel control adapter. Works great and looks even better. It was breeze to put in as well. I did open up the mounting holes on the factory brackets a bit but not much was needed. I think the best part is it looks like it could be a stock unit. I'll try to get some pics up soon.

So I've been told that when a Starquest starts getting a lot of power it will start having problems staying straight when accelerating even from 40mph. Specifically, it was mentioned that in 2nd gear with an HX40 turbo that if you floor it then the car will get sideways. I haven't had this problem myself since I am still working on my build but I have heard of it in the past about other cars. So my questions are: Does this happen to the Starquest ? What causes this ? What can be done to stop this ? Thankx.

I ran over a 2x4 one day in the dark. It split my DOJ Boot on the passenger side. Crap happens Took $15.00 for a new boot,grease,boot clamps and about 1 hour of my time to fix it. Yes, as long as I had to remove the halfshaft to replace the boot, might as well disassemble and re-grease the DOJ joint. Retaining clamp tools,a ratchet with sockets and a crowbar are PRICELESS, along with a low profile floor jack, jack stands and a impact gun. Bill

He's from Austin TX. they are all wierd down there. I can say that cause my dad lives in Austin. lol But really??? Getting sideways in a SQ is like crack for any car owner.

i love when it happens my car aint even running right and can get sideways.......thats how you scare v8 and honduhs get a quest sideways lol

which part? wrong-hand drive? quiet exhaust?(guessing 2.0L from the weak engine sound) or the super lot of gravel noise? haa but really pretty cool!

I got a new centerlink for SQs. Wifey knew I needed one a few months ago and got me one, but she didn't realize I already got a good used one,so now I have a brand new spare. I also got some socks, some new flashlights, $100 Wal Mart gift card, $100 cash, and $300 in Home Depot gift cards. And my favorite... A vaporizer. I'm quitting smoking cigarettes, but will continue to smoke pot, but my mom knows I'm trying to get healthier, so she got me a vaporizer. Now I can keep enjoying my herbs without all the harmful stuff that comes from smoking it. I got everything I wanted except for one thing. I wanted a smaller concealment pistol now that I got my CHL, because my Glock is a little tricky to conceal in the summer when I'm wearing shorts and a T shirt. My father-in-law owns a gun shop, but he got me the Home Depot gift cards because heknows I'm going to need a ton of stuff for building workbenches and a paint booth in my new shop. Actually, now that I think about it...The vaporizer isn't my favorite gift. A few weeks ago, my wife took the roughly $10k I had saved up toward a shop and got a bank loan for the rest. So in a way, I'm also getting a $40k shop for Christmas too LOL. Of course, I'm sure my income will help pay for it, but it's still nice to know that it's going to get put up soon. The better my shop is to work out of, the more money I can make, so that means I can make more money sooner than I had planned. This has been one of the best Christmasses of my life, and for sure the best one in at least 5 or 6 years. We're finally in better financial shape now than we were 5 years ago before we had to leave MI and rebuild our lives in TX. The wife has an awesome job she loves and makes killer money at. Business is going real good for me, especially this year. 2012 looks to be even better. The shop is going up, and we're doing good enough that we can start spending moiney on "fun" stuff like trips and date nights, which we really couldn't do much the past few years. We are also going to be expanding our family this year. I hope everyone else had a good Christmas, and I wish everyone the best in the New Year.
