That's LEPORE, that motor is the 4.3 Turbo V6 from a GMC Syclone, or GMC Typhoon

 

he does have a thread going on this in the engine swap section as well

 

Is that the same motor they used in the Buick Grand National? Just WHY would you go with an American Turbo charged engine.. WHY?.. :rolleyes:

Grand National is a 3.8 V6 turbo charged and intercooled. The Syclone/Typhoon is a larger V6 4.3 MPI turbo charged and intercooled. If you were going to do a American swap that would be the one though or either....

The 1986 Grand National and 1987 GNX were both under 5 secs 0-60 the GNX was the worlds fastest 0-60 car in 1987 with a 4.5sec 0-60 (with a 4 speed auto) and yet they both look like just a regular old buick so they would be ideal turbo engines to swap.
