MidMoTSI Posted September 11, 2009 Report Share Posted September 11, 2009 Yea, since Jan 1, 2006, Missouri hasn't been to friendly to Missourians who purchase or sells used vehicles. Missourians selling to Missourians must file a "Notice of Sale" (DOR Form 5049) or risk a $200 fine. Missouri purchasers must complete and have the seller sign a "Bill of Sale", (DOR Form 1957), if they want to title the car in Missouri. That was the problem I had when I bought the flatty last year in Kansas and tried to title in Missouri...no signed Bill of Sale.
