disfoolritehere2
Can anybody tell me if the non-intercooled CV halfshaft will work for my intercooled 87 conquest. I searched all the auto parts stores and they only have the ones w/o intercooler available. I was thinking that this shouldn't make a difference right? :confused0024: Any help would be appreciated. I also have a post in the items wanted section for used ones. I need both sides. Thanks, Ed

Indiana
Only if both have LSD You can view all those factory part numbers on my site just go down the right side and click the link and pick 87 www.b2600turbo.com Edited September 3, 2009 by Indiana
Chad
the non intercoled shaft will fit in the intercooled LSD (the splines are the same) but the companion flange at the wheel hub end is smaller on the non-intercooeld shaft, You'll need to swap companion flnaged to make them work. It's often best to just have yours rebuilt at a local driveline/axle shop if they arent' real bad yet.
disfoolritehere2
Will any other year shafts work for my ride? I can get a hold of some 88-89 shafts. I'm hoping you all say yes. Thanks
Chad
there are 3 types of shafts: 83-87 non-intercooled (4 bolt flange) 86 and 87 intercooled (4 bolt flange about 2 mm larger than non intercooled) 88 and 89 intercooled (6 bolt flange and larger splines) so you can use the 86 or 87 intercooled only, or start swapping other parts to make different years fit.
