what can i use to plug oil drain.

Recommended Posts

i'm installing a 60-1 and i need to know what other people have done to plug up the old oil drain thats in the timing cover.

Go to home depot, or whatever home improvement store near you and get a 1/2" threaded brass pipe plug. The hose barb on the timing cover for the oil drainback comes out. Just remove it and put the 1/2" plug in. Use some sealer on the plug.

Hose clamp a bolt in a short section of the old drain hose?

Large vacuum cap?

Does the 60-1 hang too low on a different manifold, making you use the oil seperators drain location in the pan?

yes i'm useing treadstone manifold. i welded a -10 male fitting to the oil pan.
