SpoolinVW Posted May 12, 2009 Report Share Posted May 12, 2009 (edited) CAR IS AN 87' my bad PROS: No rust 43k original miles Interior in good shape Sunroof CONS: No front lip A/C needs a recharge Resprayed when only a few years old due to original paint fading Car has 2 small dents (one on Pas. Headlight and one on Pas. windshield column) Paint on rear spoiler is cracking Tires are old Other Notes- I bought the car in 07' to restore as its a perfect candidate but i have no time. The car had been stored for the 10 years previous to my ownership. I drove the car for about 1000 miles since i purchased it. It has a vibration at about 40-45mph and after some time under the car and research i believe the driveshaft needs rebalanced. Great project car, im rather firm at 2k but cash talks. It is true that it sat garaged for over 10 years in the garage of a racetrack owner here localy so the mialage is real as far as I know. It must have been you that messaged me about wheels yesterday huh, No sorry I dont have any complete sets any longer, all I have left that I'm not using is a rear set of 8's. Kreal on here in Youngstown hos lots of parts and might have a set of wheels. I heard Community Auto Recycling out on Manchester Rd had an 87 complete. That was like 2 years ago tho.
