mistapickles
am i the only quest owner who doesnt have an issue with overheating? It's not about overheating, it's about how much heat is surrounding your motor. If it's legal for you, drive around with your hood off, and you will see a night and day difference in your car, especially at night. All I can say is that I should have replaced my clutch before did that to my hood, because the torque that I gained burned my stock clutch it a week. BC_99
I've been kicking around the idea of doing a scoop from a tacoma or 4runner like the one on my tacoma. If I can find a junk hood somewhere to salvage the scoop from I may try it on my stock 89 hood, since I already have an OEM 83. BC_99
mistapickles
hey mistapickles you got pics of the underside of that bad boy I'll post some of the underside, but it's a really simple layout I did. Cut the front of the vent out making a flap, make the sides of the vent (the closer to identical you make them, the better your hood will come out), put the side piece in, tack weld it at the back, push the flap down a little so the sides are even with the side piece, tack it again and repeat until you are all the way at the end of the flap. If you do it like that you will have a consistent bend in the metal, and all your vents will be similar.
