101PROPOSE Posted June 10, 2009 Author Report Share Posted June 10, 2009 as for the wideband o2 sensor bung location, one of members checked and tested it out on his starion(thanks!) 101, Hey there, I finally got the pics. I wanted to get everything mounted as tight as possible so we could find the best place. One thing that I don’t think that was being considered was the guys with the automatic transmissions. if the bung would have been put at 45 deg it would have hit the transmission cooler tubing. The way I did it was I mounted the complete exhaust, then I started looking for the best spot approximately 30†down from the turbo flange. I drew a horizontal centerline on the b-pipe, and then drew a vertical line where the sensor fit the best and took measurements to those spots. I am certain that the 5 speed is smaller and is less “busy†around the area that the sensor needs to go.
