IAT sensor tube came from here:

TB spacer came from eBay and will eventually be used for PWM IAC valve. I have all of the parts to make it work, i just need to mount the valve and run some hose. I want to set it up to recirculate so that there is no chance of a boost leak. I had to run the spacer regardless because the TPS was hitting the fuel return line from the FPR.

Throttle body came from a 4.6 Crown Vic I believe. It's been a long time, but it's definitely a Ford 4.6 V8 TB.

Here's a short video of my drive this morning. Skip to the 50 second mark for me pulling through the gears. Right now it's only boosting 8 psi max. I may need a new wategate...Engine runs very well. I just need to re-learn how to drive this thing.

A couple more raw videos from today. After watching the videos, I realized I have an unconscious obsession with flicking the gear shifter while in neutral. I'm still getting used to the 6 puck sprung clutch and lightweight flywheel combo. From a stop, it's like an on/off switch. If I just slowly let the clutch out, it want to die, so I have to feather the throttle and ease the pedal out. I'm sure in the rain it'll all go wrong. Don't say anything bad about the interior because I ran out of time to finish my black interior swap and right now the inside is mostly gutted. I have all of the parts, but no time to put them in before mesquite.

It's in my signature, 289 HP and 305 TQ at 15 PSI. Pretty good numbers for a really rough tune. I've done all of the tuning myself and it was running very rich on the dyno. Pulling some fuel out of it, adding some ignition advance, and more boost will net me over 400 hp for sure. I was just glad that it made 2 strong pulls and there were no mechanical issues or leaks. New wastegate spring and pre-load spring are on the way. Hopefully these will keep the wastegate closed past 15 psi and I'll be able to get over 20 psi. New rear speakers and a hidden radio antenna are also on the way. I'll have to get creative with some bondo to patch the antenna hole at some point.

I did some minor interior work yesterday including installing that cool stedebani shifter boot I won in the mesquite raffle and putting in the flawless radio bezel from Tim, Motocam360. For some reason, when I installed the new radio bezel and reinstalled the 1g radio, the little screen that displays the station and time started working. Yay! I also adjusted the e-brake so it now works. I got it so it's only allowing 4 clicks on the handle. Before I adjusted it, it was getting almost 10 clicks on the handle.

I took the car for a drive around the block and it felt great. Unfortunately, no matter what I do with the wastegate, it's still forcing open at 15psi. Hopefully the stiffer springs will prevent it. I'm guessing it's because this huge turbo is forcing A LOT of air through the engine and putting pressure on the manifold. Right now I have a boost source on only the top port holding the wastegate closed and it's still opening from the exhaust pressure. If I connect a source to the bottom port to help open the gate, the gate opens at 5psi.

After I'm able to dial in some more boost I'll be ready to make a trip back to Insane Speed for some dyno tuning. The car is still running pig rich as I haven't had time to drive around with autotune to lean it out.

Out with the old wastegate springs. I didn't take pics of the new ones, but the preload spring was way stiffer and the main spring was also stiffer. Should definitely hold more boost.

Well the new wastegate springs netted me an additional 5 psi for a max boost level of 20 PSI. Next thing I'm going to do is to advance the cam timing a bit to bring the power curve down a bit in the rev range and I'll keep tuning AFR's to lean it out. Car pulls hard all the way. Here's a screenshot of my datalog from the quick run around the block:
