I have reasearched and found Stainless Steel Buttonhead Allen bolts for our Valve Cover. And I think I have found a SS Fender washer to replace the stock old ones. Trick is other than the samples I got (just 2) I have to buy them by the box of 100. Anyone interested in these? I mean specially if you have a powder coated or polished Valve Cover these would be a nice finish. Price shipped to your door should be less then $5.00 per pair with SS washers too. I am not trying to retire off of these just trying to help with the fit and finish of our car. Oh and yes MY VC is nasty but I forgot and moved it on the driveway with one of the VC bolts out of it when the distributer had it. Whooops silly me

I know a place where you can get those in any amount, NOT in boxes of 100.

I spent over $400 with this company, they have stainless metric in ANY head type or thread...........

Well great I am glad you are so well connected. I just got tired of seeing all the nice looking engines out there with polished or power coated VC's with the same old nasty stock bolts. I wasn't trying to make any money at this just cover cost and help out the club.

Well not a huge following but hey at least I am not the only one to think these are a good alternative. I will go to the place in town and check on the washers next week. If anyone has any input on getting the washers polished let me know. The bolts were easy my drill press on high speed, a rag and a little compound for 2-3 minutes and done :) I thought about doing the same thing with a smaller headed bolt to hold it together and just polishing the one side, but hey I am open to suggestions.
