Ryan_V
Thanks! I forgot the best mod of all!! I upgraded to front Supra twin turbo brakes already, first mod I did. I fell into the rotors and pads for free, then found a killer deal on the front calipers up in Denton. I actually have stock Supra twin turbo suspension in the garage waiting to be installed, but I'm lazy.
TexasQuest
Yeah these cars are becoming more an more popular to mod since they interchangle with supra stuff, and they're price is going down with age too.
Ryan_V
No doubt, for all intensive purposes, these are Supras. The chassis is the same. There's one in texas for sale with 970rwhp on the stock block. That's stout. Here's a picture of my 92' 5speed which is for sale. It needs a steering rack right now. It has 95' wheels, tailights, carbon tint. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/202062/IMGP0861.JPG Edited April 9, 2008 by Ryan_V
JustPaus_88TSi
Looks good bro.. My friend has a gold one also. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd267/stephenherndon/SC300/IMG_0642.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd267/stephenherndon/SC300/IMG_0635.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd267/stephenherndon/SC300/Picture090.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd267/stephenherndon/SC300/Picture088.jpg 1JZGTE swapped from a Soarer though.. Another friend has that T61 kit on his also. It's a nice, you just have to be careful about which exhaust manifold you get though, make sure it's reinforced(if not, they'll crack fast) and the slag from the inside welds of where the runners meet the flange is deburred. A few guys have destroyed turbos/motors when that stuff gets red hot and chunks off, sucked into the turbo etc.. Not good. Here's the XS Power kit. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg103/somy6/DSC01003.jpg

Ryan_V
Ah, that's Sherns' gold Sc. Amazing job on that car..one of the nicest in the country for sure. I'd definitely go the Turbo XS kit route too...can't beat it. Lots of people are satisfied with it from what I've read.

Ryan_V
Update- I swapped a Soarer 1jzgte 2.5twin turbo into my Sc300. It took about 1.5 months and I just got it drivable then found out my brake booster took a crap, so I'm down right now to replace that. Ryan_V
Yes, it is a Soarer R154 tranny. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/202062/LWVRO-IMGP2189.JPG This tranny came factory to fit a Soarer unlike most earlier Surpa R154s http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/202062/RMCPS-IMGP2190.JPG http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/202062/HMUNY-IMGP2288.JPG http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/202062/NNLFC-IMGP2321.JPG

JustPaus_88TSi
In Japan yes. Here in the states, they use a N/A 2JZGE(3.0L I6) motor if it's a SC/GS/IS300, the SC/GS/LS400's use the 1UZFE(4.0L V8, DOHC) with both motors available with VVTI after 97 or so. Coke
I love 1st generation SC's. Working at a Lexus dealer, I still don't see too many coming in for service. Nor do I see IS300's and GS300's. Must be them straight six's run forever and ever.
