A stock 88/89 setup has taken a full bodied quest deep into the 9's consistantly, this IRS setup is pretty stout in stock form. Just rebuild the CV's back to stock spec, and maybe rebuild the diff and you'll be fine no matter what you throw at it. Also, get some stiff shocks and ~300 pound springs and you won't have wheel hop either.

Hey Quebec ! New Brunswick here ! I also have an 86 , its a Starion but it's totally stock . I would love to see this thing run , what track do you run at maybe I'll take a run up your way this summer . I use to go to San Air years ago when I had a 67 ss nova ( mid 11's) But those days are gone and now I'm just a street cruzer . Keep up the good work and I'm looking foward to seeing more pics and by the way what did you do with the parts you took off and are they for sale.........Pat

I'm sorta doing a swap in a white car we have right now... and we are on the same page as you are.. but"slightly" more weight reduction has been performed and we haven't got to put the cage in yet.

The front of our car don't have headlights at all anymore (and the panel they bolted to) and the whole header panel and headlight covers are going to be a one piece fiberglass unit.

The fog lights will be the only lights up front.

Right now we are focusing on the dash and getting a wide block built.
