half of the stuff on that list there were no pics of..mainly the ones i wanted to see..i.e. rear diffuser, non pop ups, 1000 hp blown, etc etc..

and that dual exhaust is so low to the ground, why isnt it a little further back so it can be higher?

Overall though, I'm impressed, you've put a lot of work into those cars

and i love how you painted the louvers, it looks really good

btw..where did you get those fender vents?

I stated in my post - that some are done, some are under development.

I am commited to making sure the parts are complete before posting pics, as anything less will get bashed for not being complete. They don't have to be "finished" but I will only post things that are in the "tweaking" phase- like the front valence.

There are many more pictures-Gary & Derek have been kind enough to start posting them, but there are about 130 pics out there to get downloaded. I'm sure they will get them up as quickly as they can...

I think from here on out the progress shots are going to be featured at Gary's Site www.26liter.us.

He asked if he could set up a Main Page Progress Gallery of our projects.

I commited to get Gary Updated Pictures as frequently as possible.

We are currently running 4 Conquest/ Starion Projects. Two of the cars

"The Evil Twins" were to be Featured in a National Publication. I withdrew from this - until the cars are done and tuned. For some reason, the pressure of hitting deadlines is different when it is your own car???

The other two cars are going it a totally different direction.

I hope you can see the value in these Modifications and the time needed to create thesepieces from scratch, and are willing to wait until they can

be shown - without making negative comments about "how we are all talk and SMOKE & MIRRORS".

AS you can see, these cars are for real, they are RADICAL, They are engineered correctly, and They will each perform as well as they look....If not better.

Please give me feedback on anything you see- as long as it is CONSTRUCTIVE- I will take any ideas into consideration. --- OR if you would like to see a specific piece made- let me know- If I can use it - I will try to make it. At the very worst, I and some other Club members can oofer assistance. Guys like Chad & Art are VERY SKILLED Craftsmen, and they are working on "Cutting Edge" Technology and Functional Esthetics. Consider Chad's T-56 Conversion- WOW- I have one going in the Red "Evil Twin" or how about Art's Headlight Conversion Kit- Unparalled Design. I am trying to make one of those myself- It's not Easy- In Fact- It is quite a challellenge.

I hope you enjoy what you see- look for more to come.... Stay constructive and look at the Positive aspect. Let's eliminate the Negativity - and Enjoy the COMMON INTEREST!!!

Please clarify- I'm not sure what "air Vent" you are referring to??

I'm glad you like the concept...

Stay in touch, we have cut the first fender and are starting to prep for the stretch.

We have decided to go with 4" on the rear quarters and 2.5" on the front fenders.

I just got the "mock" Block, so we can start to set up the drivetrain positioning- they make it so much easier.

More pics will be coming next week on the chassis car.

The red car is on the back burner until the engine gets back from my machinest.

Thanks again-

I am very interest in where you are going to start the widening of the ft fenders, I have looked at the two seams and tryed to figure which one to start the wideding process. I am thinking that the lower one is where to start the curve. But it is by no means the only way. For my car I have decided to go with a Mustang II front suspension hot rod assy. This will let me put a rack an pinion steering and will allow me to remove the sheet metalaround the strut assy for more clearance for the engine and make more room for tires and wheels.

I made a mistake- Gary's Web Site Address is WWW.g54b.com - Sorry for the mistake.

Gary E-Mailed me today- He is out of town until next week- He has many more pictures and he will set up the "progress Page" on his site upon his return.

In answer to the question about where we are adding material to the fenders. Where the fender "slopes out" at that bend, we are going to add 2.5" to that "sloped shelf" by doing this we will have to add material to the fender at the door side- we have a spare set of fenders we are going to cut sections out of those fenders and add that material - this is saving us from having to recreate the body lines that transition from the fender to the door.

I hope this gives you some idea.

We have cut the rear quarter off and are getting set up to section in the 4"- I will send Gary pictures to post when we get far enough along that you can clearly see what we are doing....

Stay Tuned....

I am totally F***'d up

I have been corrected.

I think Gary's site is at www.26liter.us...

I am sorry for the confusion.

Derek has been kind enough to list the latest pics of the Chassis Car-

We have started to Widen the Rear Quarter Panels- 3.5 " for the rear quarters & 2.0 " for the front fenders...

Look under Interior & Body Mods IDKwhy Project update...

Thanks for the interest and please feel free to comment on what you like or don't like- or any ideas you may have that would make the project even better...

  • 2 weeks later...

im quite curious to see the pics of the fenders being widened, however garys site wont come up for me.

ill give you a few props on your front suspension setup. its not bad but how does it follow the geometry now that its unequal length? or is that based off of a tried and true setup like the mustang 2.

also, was there any particular reason why you chose to use a ladder bar setup on the solid rear axle? what did you use for a panhard bar? those framerails look pretty nice and the whole setup is very reminiscent of what i would build into the rear of a minitruck or a generic hotrod.

forgive my saying so but it looks to me like y9ou have basically gutted the car and kept nothing more than a shell of what the conquest USED to be.

those rear frame rails look an awfull lot like some that are marketed by art morrison.

Pure Insanity,

1.) the front suspension is a Mustang II set up w/ my own control arms & Frame section.

2.) I used a Solid Rear Axle Set up because, unless you spend $12,000 - $15,000 you will not find a independant rear that can handle 1000 RWHP.

3.) The ladder bar set up is a tried and true -"power transfer" set up that is "street-able" the alternative would have been a full 4-link, and they make a lot of noise.

4.) the Pan Hard bar is ont set up yet, you need the final ride height in order to properly install a panhard bar, so it must wait.

5.) those Frame Rails are made by Competition Engineering, I did not fabricate the entire chassis from scratch, and the whole point was to put a Conquest "shell" on an "extreme Street chassis" and develop a "Pro Touring" look for the Conquest.

This was just a Brain Child I had and decided to follow through on, and along the way, I have gotten interest in expanding it's purpose as a potential Advertising "prop" and Feature Vehicle.

That is yet to be negociated, but the project is poking along.

Next week or so, We will have the Front Fenders worked out and I will post the Final Design, until then - just hang in..... stay Posted...

Thanks for your interest...

Outcast,

Currently, we are working (3) Starquest "projects".

1 & 2.) The Red Starquest & The "future orange" Starquest know as the "evil Twins"

3.) The Chassis Car

NOTE - The blue car is pretty much - where it is going- just a nice driver.

Man that car looks awesome, amazing Superb..... good job.

So the car is half starion, half mustang II. man i'm sure will feel different driving it. Its not gonna feel like a starion, but anyways this is a drag race car, correct me if i'm wrong.

For street i stay everything with starion suspension, frame, specially the engine 100%, i will never buy one starion with a V8 engine even if its FREE>>!!! anyways i cannt call it Starion with a V8 engine, i don't know what name should i call it but i cann't call it starion with V8 engine. don't know what to call it ???? if someone ask me what car is that.

2.6liter turbo engine (4 cylinders) with starion body. Now we are talking.

What car is that?

Starion. :D thats right...

but everyone has different taste, and its cool no problem, i see RX7 2nd gen car with different motor, like this guy i know it has the Mazda Protege turbo very Fast!!! on the RX7 2nd gen body car.

The first time i ask him what car is that?

he couldn't answer me, he was like ahhhh... ok.

later i find out it has Mazda Protege Turbo engine very fast. no wonder he couldn't answer my question.

Now lately he call his car>>> DA THING. and thats what it is.
