busdriver
I'm sorry I need a straight answer. With a well running stock engine, what improvements can I expect after installing the hurricane 4 mpi setup? What will I gain? Please make it simple for me, THANKS!!! FuelinjectionPro
I'm sorry I need a straight answer. With a well running stock engine, what improvements can I expect after installing the hurricane 4 mpi setup? What will I gain? Please make it simple for me, THANKS!!! With a stock engine you should see better performance due to: (1) A free flowing intake system-- no mass air sensor, larger runners and throttle body. (2) Even fuel flow to each cylinder. (3) Fuel maps that maintain best power and cooling at all boost levels. (4) Faster spooling of the turbo. (5) All new parts. ED
busdriver
ED , Please give me your best estimate of horsepower gains with a well running stock engine, once the hurricane 4 mpi has been installed. Have any of your installations been on stock engines? Any dyno results? I want performance gains, I have to be sure I get hte best bang for the buck. There is no money in the budget to waste. Thank You Busdriver
88whitestarion
In my opinion, you would be wasting your money on MPI if you plan on running it with the tiny stock turbo. Either do both intake and upgraded turbo or if you can only afford one or the other, go with the turbo. Dave
heefner
The stock TBI is fine for a stock car with stock turbo. Think of the hurricane as a stepping stone for future high performance mods. If you want to make serious power you WILL NEED a multi port intake. If you just want 50 extra horses and nothing else than this mod isn't for you. Don't expect hughe gains just from changing the intake. If you just swap the intake and leave the rest stock, you will have a more efficient engine but not 500whp. FuelinjectionPro
The current group buy for the HURRICANE-4 has closed. Six were included in the buy and all have paid. Two of these systems have shipped already and the others are well under way and will be shipped in order paid for. There will be a new group buy in June. If you are interested please let us know. Thank You for your orders. ED FuelinjectionPro Busdriver, Our TB-PRO2 system may be a good one for you consider.
