Keoni1113
Hello all, Been dealing with a stumble problem (at 3000 rpm, I'm thinking secondary injector) when I've have had the time and $$$. It's been in the shop for another issue but the mechanic checked out the injectors. And said something I found odd, he said the secondary injector was getting power but no signal? The injector clips have already been replaced. So one of the many solenoids or the injector itself?

pcristquester
Remove the injectors and test them with a 9 volt battery to ensure they open and close and ohm them between both terminals to make sure they are between 2-3 ohms. Might as well clean them while they are out if they don't leak and ohm good. I backflush them first, in case there is gunk on the inlet side, then flush them in the normal flow direction. Or send them out to be professionally cleaned and flowed, which I hear is pretty affordable. Never done it myself. I have a spare green secondary for sale if you need it. psu_Crash
I hope your mechanic realized the injectors function by switching ground ... not power. One side of the injector will be constant +12V and the other side will have a pulsing continuity to ground.
Keoni1113
Good to know, that isn't the particular problem he is fixing but I will keep that in mind. Edited September 23, 2015 by Keoni1113

Keoni1113
Already did that and replaced the advance, unfortunately that's when my car decided to no longer start, which is why it is at the mechanics.
psu_Crash
Check your base timing with the vac advance vacuum line unhooked. Something sounds off with your timing.
