mbruneaux
The current cam is junk and I have 2 other cams of unknown origin I got with the car. I've taken pictures and documented measurements to put out there in case anyone can tell me what I have. I appreciate feedback on which one I should use or neither. One camshaft I call "standard" because it has an "A" stamped on the end which tells me, from my research, that it as a hydraulic camshaft but has wear on the " fuel pump" lobe. The other is a "mystery" camshaft because the end is longer and has been ground down. All the markings are different also. The lift is higher on the mystery cam which makes me want to use it. 860QuestTuner
The cwc cam is an aftermarket blank. Top end and Schneider both use those blanks to cut performance cams

NotStock88
Your better off buying a new OEM cam off rockauto.com or amazon. Read this and the schneider cams http://www.sqperformance.com/forum/index.php?topic=245.

Read this and the schneider cams http://www.sqperform...php?topic=245.0 Thanks, I'd heard rumblings about them but didn't know it was so wide spread. The fact that it's a blank leads me to believe it's not a Schneider cam because they regrind factory cores, so I don't know who made it. 860QuestTuner
Schneider still sells new cams through Trilogy Turbos. I have a new 274 still in box with the cwc markings. I was told that cwc textron is the only blank manufacturer in the US. Almost every aftermarket cam the was new had seen in the past 10 years was cwc cam. That's good to know, what does the 274 designate? Duration?
