flyinsc1
I am the proud owner of an 1987 Conquest. It has been a long desire and its finally come true. It was a 1500 mile trip to go look at it , buy it, and return home through snow, black ice and broken straps it made it home. It only has 50000 miles and a couple of dings here and there. Could someone explain how the emergency seat belt releases work? I would love to have an owners manual if anyone has one the would part with. ucw458
Emergency release is for when you crash. Since there is no buckle to undo. When they lock up during a crash you pull the release levers to unlock and get out of the belt. In the event those levers don't work there is a wrench in the glove compartment for unscrewing the belt from the track.

ucw458
emergency crew will cut the strap This is true. But, if the car is on fire I for one would kinda like to know how to get out.
